COV LEGION VS CITY REJECTS - 18 / 3 / 07
Premiership

Always a classic tie. Cov Legion so far have had a very poor season by their standards while City Rejects are still chasing the title.

Team News
Cov Legion
Missing Key Striker Steve Reece and star man Danny T was declared match fit before the game.
City Rejects
Awol Gaz missing yet again.

The game started at a usual fast pace which saw both sides have good possession of the ball. City Rejects moved the ball well while Legions direct style was their weapon. It was seasoned campaigner Terry who had the first glimpse of the white sticks but he was unable to stretch Ian C in the Legion goal. It was the same player who opened the scoring; coming out of the back Tel unleashed a shot from the halfway line which in fairness the keeper should have saved. Legion then pressed and it was Paul who was appearing the most dangerous as he forced a good save from the Rejects keeper. Paul continued to boss the middle of the court and it was he who set up Deano to take the scores level 1-1. Step up Mark Quinn...... the pint sized assassin soon restored Rejects lead hitting two great goals in quick succession leaving Rejects 3-1 up at half time.

The Second half was much the same as the first with Rejects looking the brighter. DANNY!! managed to drift on to the back post to slot in Rejects fourth. The game then become a battle in the middle of the court with Paul of Legion having a good battle with Rejects Jason but a glaring mistake by Ian Clelland allowed Rejects to pull further ahead, 5-1.
Rejects started to move the ball well and kept it even better and really drained the fight out of Legion which is not easy to do. Mark Quinn got his 3rd goal thanks to excellent work by man of the match Moggi. Paul did get one back for Legion but it was all in vain. Rejects winning 6-2.

5star Promotion says: "With the signing of Quinny and the Keeper City Rejects could finally snatch the title they crave out of Old Boys hands."

City Rejects manager Terry said:
“Well done to the boys in what is always a tough game."

Cov Legion manager Raff said:
"We were poor in this game and know we must play alot better or we could even face a relegation battle. "
