FC BUTTERBEAN VS CITY DRAGONS - 11 / 3 / 07
1st Division

These two have a fierce rivalry and a good game was in prospect.

Team News
FC Butterbean
Full strength
City Dragons
Key player Joe Barr out with a broken ankle.

A Dragons source claimed before the game..."this will be the headline; City Dragons easily butter the beans"

City Dragons manager Luke Maslin sent his team out with fire in their bellies and they took the game straight to Butterbean. It was an error by Butterbeans defender Liam which gave us the opening goal. A poor back pass let in Frosty who coolly slotted past Dave. It wasn't much longer before experienced defender Raff weaved his way forward to hammer Dragons 2-0 ahead, Frost then made it 3-0 and Dragons were coasting.
That was until Butterbeans Dave started to turn on his class netting after some good footwork, he then netted his 2nd with a superb shot. Butterbean had now swayed the tie their way and kept probing the Dragons goal and it was Gaz Tutty who levelled the game just before half time after some sloppy goalkeeping by Dave in the Dragons goal. The tie nicely poised at the interval 3-3.

After what he thought was an inspiring team talk Luke sent his troops back out to battle but it was Butterbean who started the second half the brighter. Gaz Tutty finding some space in the Dragons half only to uncharacteristically blast the ball high and wide.
The game was being played out in the middle of the court as both teams fought to gain the upper hand. Then a second mistake by the Dragons shop stopper gave FC Butterbean the chance to take the lead from the spot and Gaz Tutty did just that.
City Dragons then proceeded to fall apart as Dave, Gaz and Will started to dominate the play and Tutty claimed his hat-trick to take Butterbean 5-3 up. There was much discussion on the Dragons bench between manager Maslin and coach Barr and the outcome was disastrous as the pair made some baffling substitutions which just gave Butterbean the impetuous to attack the Dragons and the game just then passed Luke’s team by.
7-4 the final score.

5star Promotion says: "Some very strange substitutions by Luke really cost his team but it was FC Butterbeans night and they needed these points especially with Trinitys FC and Lloyds Bar both winning."

City Dragons manager Luke said:
“There is a lot to take from our performance today. Frosty looked better in a forward position and Raff was again the lynch pin at the back."

FC Butterbean source said:
"We shut up the Dragons gobby c**t and he now looks a
'censored' as we slained the Dragons!!!!!"
