Missing Bowey and Big Johns final league game of the season as he heads out on charity work to Borneo.
We all expected a close game but with FC Butterbean running out winners.....How wrong we were.
It was Keresley Kobras who come out the blocks the better team and after early bout of sparring it was K.Kobras who delivered the first blow courtesy of Luke. Kobras then went on a rampage dominating FC Butterbean and nullifying Butterbeans key man Gaz Tutty.
It wasn't long before Big John hit the 2nd for Kobras after a slick one two with Nick, Big John slid the ball coolly past a helpless Dave. John then made it 3-0 and it was FC Butterbean who now looked like a team with no answer to what was happening to them.
Butterbean regained their composure and started to get back the possession of the football. They used it well, as Rich forced an excellent save out of keeper Simon Shiers but Rich wouldn't say no and got a goal back. This sparked an FC Butterbean rally and Gaz Tutty finally executed his trademark free kick to take the game to 3-2 at half time.
After stern words from Manager Dave Butterbean looked ready to take the fight back to Kobras in the 2nd half. The managers words must of still been processing through the Butterbean players brains as they switched off an allowed Jim to take Kobras into a 4-2 lead.
The game went back and forth for a while but Kobras kept the upper hand with John taking his tally to 2 in the game. Liam hit a halfway line bolt that gave Butterbean a little bit of light but the departing John Wilkinson hit his hat-trick to end the game 6-3.
5star Promotion says: "I am not sure anyone predicted this result, although Kobras had just beat Premiership side Never E... we should have seen it coming. FC Butterbean looked a team without an answer to the problems Kobras were causing and it leaves a question mark on Butterbeans ability to recover from coming from behind."
K.Kobras manager Oli says:
“We had 5 'man of the matches' out there and this win gives us confidence to go on an win the title. We will dedicate it to John Wilkinson who is leaving us till next season."
FC Butterbean manager Rich says:
"A disaster and our worst performance for over 2 seasons....a crushing defeat, however i do blame Phil for making us wait an hour!!"
