A mouth watering two legged tie in prospect.

City Rejects
Player manager Terry out with long term injuries

Both teams play fast smash mouthed styles of football..... So fireworks were expected.

The game kicked of an instantly tackles went flying in as the two teams tried to flex there might. First blood went to Excelsior as Danny finished off a flowing move. It was Moggi who replied and how did he reply, with two simultaneous goals. No sooner had the ball hit the back of the net Danny Bell showed his quality slamming in a delightful free kick. 2-2.
Excelsior then took control off the game and after a quick throw by keeper Colin, Danny went on a mesmerising run which saw his pocked shot rebound of the inside of the Reject upright. They continued to dominate but Rejects had a an opportunity after quick thinking by Moggi off a free kick set up Jason but he couldn't take advantage blasting the ball high and wide. The same player did however make no mistake with his second effort slotting the ball home past the outstretched Colin. As the half time whistle drew closer City Rejects tried in vain in hold on to their one goal advantage but defensive errors cost them that privilege as on form Danny netted yet again to level the score.

Half Time             Excelsior 4 - 4 City Rejects

The second half started just as furious and it wasn't long before Danny Bell struck to edge Excelsior in front, as tempers flared and the nail biting begun Excelsior shifted a gear and pressed City Rejects. Manager Tel must have been ripping what little hair he has left as Rejects defensive frailties bore their head again. A reprieve come in the form of a well curled free-kick from pint sized Mark Quinn. As the game grew closer to an end both teams chased that elusive lead and Jason helped steal a march by blasting in a 6th goal for Rejects but barely had the Rejects finished raising their sweaty pits Excelsior bombed down the other end and it culminated in Gavin drawing the game level. What a game and what a second leg we have awaiting us.

5star Promotion says: "The game was just expected as both teams have very similar qualities. The tie is still a 50/50 toss up and our predication........... Excelsior on penalties!!!!!!"

City Rejects manager Terry said:
“We were very undisciplined at the back yet again and some of our players just didn't play to their potential."

Allstar Rev Manager Gavin said:
