Cov Legion v Ocean's 7

Cov Legion are desperate to shed their 'also rans' title this season but come up against an Ocean's outfit who are very unpredictable at the moment after a very poor pre-season. So the game is there for the taking and getting off to a good start is very important.

Cov Legion come out the traps flying as they dominated Ocean's 7 with early possession. Steve Reece was looking very dangerous shooting wide after only a couple of minutes. The inevitable happened and Cov Legion moved into the lead after good work by Danny T set up S.Reece to smash low into the bottom left hand corner. Steve Reece then added another double to take Legion 3-0 and cruising. With 4 mins left in the first half Ocean's 7 woke up and started to play. John B hit back and Noddey added another swift 2. Amazingly Ocean's 7 went into the break 4-3 up.
Second half was dominated by Ocean's 7 and they kept the pressure on Cov Legion's fragile defence and took a two goal lead. Although Cov Legion made a brief comeback but Ocean's rode over the finishing line to win 7-5.

Cov Legion will have to improve if they are to mount any title challenge, Manager Raff will have to dig deep into his footballing brain and rally the troops.
