Welcome to Sunday league round up. Every week we review the 'week' gone by in association with NEWS in BRIEF
Jason Wigmore - A dazzling double display for FC Heat proves what a reformed player he has become..
M.V.P'S 5 vs 6 Cov Legion
It was a perfect debut from M.V.P'S new acquisition Curtis Liburd the devastating striker was at his enthusiastic best scoring two and was named man of the match. The game was entertaining with both teams fighting hard for the valuable four points in the end though M.V.P'S deserved their win.
Allstar Revolutions abysmal cup form continued as they were dually put to the sword by the M.V.P'S. The match was physical as expected as the two teams full of personalities clashed in the middle of the 'ring' but it was the bulls from M.V.P'S who shone the most with young Nick and keeper Ian Clelland in fantastic form.
Cov Legion 6 vs 4 300 Spartans
Super Cup
Credit must go to 300 Spartans as they proved there is life without Dave Jones. They matched their Premiership counterparts almost blow for both in the 1st half and Steve H netted a beauty to take the Spartans level at the break but Legion rallied together and dominated the possession play in the second half and that was enough to put 4 pts on the board.
FC Butterbean was very unlucky not to pick up their second league win off the season. If only an unfortunate slip by defender Liam never happened they would of least got the draw they deserved.
A return to form for Joe Barr was the difference between the sides. Joe who recently served a two match suspension has hardly set the Division One alight this season with some sub standard performances but the 'Phenomenal' Barr proved he deserves that title hitting 6 goals along the way to the Gulls win. The victory keeps them tucked nicely in second place in Division One.
Pudlians pulled of one the shocks of the evening in this scrappy club heat cup affair. Pudlians showed more hunger and desire than the reigning Club Heat Cup champions and proved with heart and desire and determination anything can be achieved.
GSH 6 vs 6 Cov Jags
Both teams knew before hand this was a must win game if they harboured any hopes of a title challenge this season and the game was played to this affect. Tempers were thwart and play poor at times but one man stood out and it was his footballing feet that won Barnets the game. Step forward Nick Janda and take a bow.
Pudlians 4 vs 1 Never Enough
Club Heat Cup
GSH lost ground on Division leaders Toon Army as Cov Jags shown more improvement in this tight encounter.
City Seagulls 9 vs 7 Football Factory
Toon Army 6 vs 4 St George Utd
Only one winner in this game from the first whistle and yet again Jason Wigmore was superb netting 5 and setting up four more.
300 Spartans 5 vs 6 M.Barnets
Toon Army 9 vs 5 M.Barnets
A real eye opener for Barnet's staff and players as they went into this games with real hopes of turning over Toon Army but when the whistle went reality wasn't different from the hopes as Toon Army gave the Barnet's a real lesson in the Art of being a top side and even had an 8-1 lead at half time. Toon Army striker Carl Simpson is really making a name for himself in Division One and defenders of all teams are now put on notice as the striker has hit 31 league goals.
Pudlians 5 vs 6 Lloyds Bar
Allstar Rev 6 vs 5 FC Butterbean
GSH become another victim of the Drive By posse. The return of Tom 'Dildo Boy' Hexx was a welcome boost for Amo and his boys but it was Scott Watts who displayed his skills the most hitting a wonderful hat-trick on the way to his team's delightful win.
Drive By FC 8 vs 6 GSH
Lloyds Bar edged out the in form Pudlains in a fantastic end to end game a Hat-trick from Lil Ash coupled with a brace from Lil Adam and a pen by Adam Mcbride was enough to give a Lloyds Bar a photo finish win.
It is a wonderful sight when new teams find their feet and start to become a real dangerous side to play due to their improvements and that's what Toon Army found from St George Utd.
FC Heat 8 vs 6 FC Heat
FC Heat Deadly duo Jason W and Tom Gault ran St George ragged netting six of the eight goals in a formidable forward partnership. Both players have had a controversial past in the Club Heat leagues but now a little more mature and a little more wiser these two could be about to stand head and shoulders above their peers this season.
FC Heat 13 vs 4 Danny's Boys
City Seagulls 6 vs 4 Crossbar
Good news and Bad news. Good news first, City Seagulls won. Bad news, Crossbar will be the second team to be put on fight watch after another member of their squad was sent off.
