Welcome to Sunday league round up. Every week we review the 'week' gone by in association with NEWS in BRIEF
FC Heat who warmed up for the Night of Champions P.P.V with two clinical team performances.
Wookies 3 vs 8 City Rejects
E.O.S.C
An excellent 1st half was the highlight of this tie as both teams set about the task in hand in determined style. Wookies gave the Premiership side a real good game in the first period and despite going in 4-2 at half time deserved better and the story could have been much different had Adam P slotted home his penalty for the Wookies with the score at (3-2 to Rejects).
The second half was a different matter as Rejects manager Terry H urged his team to settle and play the game at their pace and that’s what his charges done they made a 5 man Wookies squad chase the ball and eventually the Rejects grinded them down to win the match. Man of the Match Mark Quinn was excellent throughout.

FC Heat 9 vs 6 300 Spartans
EOSC
FC Heat warmed up for this week's Reds Cup Final with an excellent team display. Manager Rich Slack was back to his best and was clinical in front of goal. Heat never had it all their own way as the very capable Spartans played some good football themselves scoring a wonderful 2nd goal. Heat were not going to be denied the win however and took the points convincingly in the end
FC Heat 9 vs 2 DX
E.O.S.C
Rich Slack (2), Craig (3) and four from Jason Wigmore was enough to condemn our new team Degeneration X to defeat. DX are a work in progress but will be encouraged by this display especially having lost their last two games to zero score lines.
Pudlians 9 vs 2 VIP’S
End of season Cup
Pudlians were in no mood to waste any time in dispatching the V.I.P’S. Leading 7-0 at the break the Pudlians marched all the way home with the ‘Big man’ Lee in superb form which bodes well for his teams epic New Team Cup Final next week at the Night of Champions against Motley Barnets.
Cov Legion 1 vs 6 Allstar Rev
EOSC.
Arfan and his team mates continued on their quest for President’s Cup qualification with this defeat of Legion. Legion had the lion share of possession but found it difficult to find the back of the net. Allstar Rev in contrast were lethal in the finishing department and their young starlet Waqquas was again on the top of his game hitting most of the Allstar Revolution goals
300 Spartans 5 vs 9 V.I.P’S
End of Season Cup
The reformed VIP’S halted Spartans quest for qualification from the group with this surprising result. Spartans prior to the night were unbeaten in this group and looked to be heading for the knockout phase but two losses on the night has now severely hampered their progress.
Kersley RFC 4 vs 8 Old Boys
End of Season Cup
Formerly known as the Ziggy Tooters Kersley renewed old rivalries with the Old Boys in what was a fascinating game. The match was played at a ferocious pace but it was the fitter Old Boys who had the mileage to gain the win with veteran 5 a sider Meluci in superb form once again.
Motley Barnets 3 vs 4 Butterbean SC
There is not much to pick between these two sides but it was the turn of the Plums second string to be the victors having lost last week in the New Team Cup Sunday Final. Butterbean were sanctioned to start 3-0 down due to late arrival on the pitch but Butterbean showed their qualities and went about their job like Princess Diana’s assassins pulling the deficit back to 3-3 by half time. They then went on to secure their final 4pts of the season that sees them finish 7th in Division One.
