It was a game of friends turned enemies as Friday club Excelsior was split down the middle and with much pre match hype everyone was waiting for the explosion and that did come but in the form of ‘of the ball’ incidents and after match rowing but the game itself was mediocre and M.V.P’S deserved the spoils at the final whistle.
City Rejects 5 vs 5 Allstar Rev

Something as simple as a draw has blown the CLUB HEAT Premiership wide open as City Rejects dropped points on what seemed an unstoppable destiny to title glory now sees City Rejects looking around them. The reality that 3 other teams are now scrapping their bumper. Allstars main objective was to ensure Rejects didn’t make it 6 from 6 and pulled the Rejects back into the title war field and that objective was met and they have goalkeeper Arfan to thank as he was excellent between the sticks.

M.V.P’S took qualification from the hands of the Pudlians and boosted their own chances of reaching a semi-final in their first season.

An easy encounter for the Premiership leaders over their 1st division opposition Muzo was the pick of the bunch once again for the Playerz.

Crossbar 4 vs 7 300 Spartans

A win that has quenched the thirst of the Spartans after such a disappointing season 06 thus far Spartans finally found that killer instinct in front of goal that they have been sorely missing since Dave Jones’s departure. The returning Alec also got through the game without any reaction to his recent injury. Crossbar showed some glimpses of good football and have settled down their tempers are now proving value for money.
The Business 12 vs 6 Drive By FC

A game sprinkled with youth and talent none more so than the Businesses Chris Blundell who was out of this world and almost single handily took the Business to this important victory.
Old Boys 3 vs 8 Never Enough

It is like watching his master take ol’ Yellow behind the woodsheds and blowing his head off every time the current Old Boys outfit step on to the pitch. This time around it was Never Enough who dished out a dose of tough love, Danny Thompson (3), Scully (3) and Nooney doing the damage for Never Enough
Motley Barnets 12 vs 5 Football F

International flop Johnny Wilkinson returned to scoring ways for his club netting 5 goals in a morale boasting win for his Motley Barnet team. International scouts were also impressed with the display of Barnet’s talent Danny.
Danny’s Boys 6 vs 8 The Business

A game with a bit of spice as these former schoolmates and workmates dogged it out for half an hour but it was the composer of The Business that took the 4pts and lifted them into third place in Division One.

It’s hard to guess which Never Enough turns up on the night these days as the reigning Premiership champions were knocked out of the League Cup. With the league still in their grasps it seems a team who dominated season 05 have now reached a crossroads as they look into the distance and their final drive into the sunset but will they bow out quietly or will we see true champions cementing their legacy within the company!?

Hall of famer and Legion manager had strained to pull in a keeper for his matches tonight as his first choice keeper was away in America and his quest was unsuccessful and he had to don the gloves himself. It was a weakness that the Pudlians failed to attack and instead let the Legion show their commanding authority and they take the much needed 4pts.
Cov Legion 6 vs 10 Playerz

Rules are rules and it was the rules that may have stopped Cov Legion achieving a shock result over the Playerz. Cov Legion had requested a special dispensation to use an emergency goalkeeper despite having six players after a lengthy discussion between the 5star Promotions President and the Playerz management Legions request was denied and it had a big bearing on the outcome as the Playerz went on a goal frenzy and it was to much for Raff in goal and his troops to cope with and the Playerz left ruthless winners.
FC Heat 5 vs 2 City Seagulls

The mystery around Luke Maslin’s well being was again called into the question as the Maverick goalkeeper claimed to paint balling with Seagull buddy Joe Barr but Barr was present come kick off and the Maverick…? Well who knows? The game itself was very tense in the first period with neither team was able to get a foot ahead and they went in 1-1 at the break. The second half was much the same but a late flurry of goals gave Heat another win and one more step to title glory.
Butterbean SC 5 vs 6 Toon Army

Toon Army’s heart nearly skipped a beat as they were pushed all the way by league newcomers Butterbean, had it not been for Andy Byrne who dominated the pitch and scored three, Toon Army could easily have been looking at the score line in favour of Butterbean SC

The St George lads keep getting better and better and pushed their Premiership counterparts all the way but found ‘Skipper’ Liam McElveney in his usual rock form at the back and the defender even stepped forward to score a cracking second half goal.
GSH 4 vs 5 Butterbean SC

It was Dave and not the disco variety that was irresistible in goal as GSH through everything but the kitchen sink at the award winning keeper. His display delighted the on watching International selectors who were over heard praising the keeper and "how glad that they now have him as an option the international sides  goalkeeping position".
St George Utd 6 vs 5 Motley Barnets

St George let of a warning to the 1st Division mid table teams that they are 'coming' after beating the respected Motley Barnets St George’s Dixon was the man with the plan on this occasion and his slick play was to much for the Barnets to handle and St George chalk One in the win column.
