Welcome to Bad Intentions 7 Questions Ian and Mark good to see you both looking fit and well…………..

It has been a season where Millers Appeal finally stepped up into the spotlight after many seasons in the background. The signing of Mark Quinn to Millers from your Bad Intentions opponents Excelsior has really propelled you into main event status so Ian could you tell us what Mark brings to Millers………………

Ian - Plain and simple, he’s a predator. He gives the team focus and belief. He has brought balance. Before Quinny (BQ) we could compete everywhere except in that crucial final third.

Mark you left Excelsior under a cloud after many months of them courting and signing you pre season. So we want you to clear up all the rumours and finally tell us all the REAL reason you left Excelsior?

Mark - Well... Joining Excelsior was a move I had wanted for a while too, I am friends with them all and I wanted to play for a team which was going to compete for trophies on all platforms. After joining I found playing time hard to come by, I would get around 4-5 minutes per game even in games when the team needed goals. I think Gav had an idea of his strongest team and I don’t think I was in his first team plans. I spoke to Gav a few times about it and nothing changed, eventually I outright asked and he said he couldn’t promise more than 1 minute per week. Now I love to win games and have a real desire to win trophies but it was either win many trophies and hardly play (that way id actually feel I’ve not contributed) or I could play often and hope to build a good relationship with the millers. I see potential with Millers Appeal and the lure of regular football was all I really wanted deep down.

Its Millers first P.P.V event and the Big Stage with the lights bright, can sometimes make players freeze, do you have the squad to shine on the such a stage?

IAN - That is the most crucial point. We have always frozen against better opposition. Even this season it has taken us time to find belief in the big games. Against both Boy’s r Back and SE we started poorly but won the second halves. I know some players are nervous but we have to get it out of our systems quickly.

Mark - Yes I believe we truly do, I think people are actually taking notice of Millers this season, I’ll admit last season whenever I knew my old team (Cov Rangers) were due to play them I had no fear whatsoever and expected to win, now I feel other teams don’t quite look at it this way and expect a good game from us. As for the PPV we have not come this far this season to bottle it when it matters.

Where do you see Millers come the end of season 06?

Ian - I do think we can beat anybody now but I know we are still short of that edge on the day. I expect us to finish 4th or 5th if we stay injury free.

Mark - Personally I want a top 4 finish, realistically I do think we can achieve that. I’d like to win a cup somewhere along the way too. That is my aim for this season. Whether this happens is yet to be seen but I’m expecting us to be there or there abouts.

Back to Bad Intentions who do you see as the danger men for Excelsior and where do you see their weaknesses?

Ian - obviously Iceman will be crucial to them. Curtis has such a quick trigger and great power on his shots. If we can stay close to him we can nail him down. They are all industrious players. I watched them last week and they never stop working, they are incredibly well organised and they have belief. If they have a weakness it is that they play deep sometimes and leave gaps in the middle.

Mark - hmmm, where to start? Every single player in the Excelsior team is very good. One of the best goalkeepers, a rock solid defence and strikers who can score. If I had to pick key men then Iceman, Curtis and either James or Gav. These are the players I think will be hassle for us. But even if we stop them I have no doubt Lil Dan, Lil Ash and Danny Bell will step up. It’s hard to single out anyone in Excelsior as “key”.

Boys r Back, Something Else, ECCC and Excelsior are viewed as the BIG four of the Friday Premiership but there is also some interesting teams outside that four who are capable of breaking into that exclusive four, who do the two of you view will be the team to eventually break into the elite group?

Ian - I like what FC your Mum are doing. I thought they wouldn’t be up to it-but they clearly are. They are much stronger than they get credit for. They aren’t too short of that 4th spot. I think ECCC have yet to prove they are clearly top four. I thought Dizzys would do better than they are.

Mark - US. I really believe we can break that top 4, maybe we need one more signing but as soon as Kulli is fir and playing properly he will be like a big signing for us.

Finally Ian we understand you have signed a deal with 5star Promotions to bring our readers a new angle and a new view on life within 5Star Sports with your debut issue entitled ‘Instant Karma’ debuting exclusively in our 5Star Telegraph next week, Tell us what to expect from ‘Instant Karma’ and how the formation of your new company (Instant-Essentials) with the man sitting next to you came about?

Ian - Instant Essentials and our joint publication Instant Karma was really Quinnys idea; It came out of a fiery furnace of doubt and passion. I think in life you have to have friendship and partnership, often the two don’t work together. Quinny, like Michael Owen is bringing you his tears and doubts and his internal struggle on a week to week basis. I hope to balance that with a more critical view of life in the Club Heat Leagues, using humour, honesty and drawing on events all around us. Life is not for the faint hearted my friend and neither is football.

Mark - Yeah I had noticed Ian had an interesting way with words on the guestbook so I thought it could be interesting to see what he can say about the 5starsports world. Having seen his first piece I smiled and laughed quite often. I’m sure it’s going to be another hit on the ever improving website.

Thank you both and we look forward to reading the 1st edition of Instant Karma. Good Luck for your Bad Intentions Match.

Ian - Thanks.
Mark - Thanks
