Strong Island 10 vs 2 The Bookies
Strong Island formerly DX may wish the season ended this week as they sit top of the Championship.
A feat many would have found hard to believe after DX showing in the LeagueofChampions but new manager Paul ‘Fanny’ Fancock celebrated a fine victory. Strong Island dominated throughout and look a decent outfit, key player Paddy was in fine form netting four on the way to this famous victory.
G-Star 8 vs 5 St George Utd
Championship Shield
It was a fabulous victory which moved G-Star to the top of group A.
It was a tight first half with both teams playing some nice attacking football but it was G-Stars second half display which showed their pedigree. Former Toon Army player Shaun knows what it takes to win the Championship League and his winning mentality is what drove G-Star home and to the top of the table.

Crossbar 3 vs 3 300 Spartans
Championship Shield
The two sides played out a very entertaining game with great goals and mistakes a plenty.
Crossbar manager and player Joe was his usual vibrant self but his football abilities were also in fine form, the pencil like striker hit two and was unlucky not to get a hat trick as a wicked right peg shot bounced of both posts as everyone watched on as though it was in slow motion.
Spartans had their own talisman as Paul M was also great on the night and hit a superb goal to take Spartans into the lead but the right scoreline prevailed in the end and was a match that can take 4 stars for its entertainment.
300 Spartans 4 vs 10 G-Star
Notorious slow starters Spartans stayed true to form as they were panned by G-Star.
Spartans were decent 1st half but trailed 3-2, the second period was all G-Star and they look a dangerous side and will be a hard team to face this season in the race for the Championship.
Birds 6 vs 3 City Seagulls
Premiership Shield
The Birds had no problem tucking the Gulls into bed in this Premiership Shield men against boys clash.
The physical approach the Birds bring to the dance was something the Gulls couldn’t match, some would say the Gulls ‘bottled’ it in the trenches and when your ‘superstar’ and ‘showstopper’ go A.W.O.L the chance of beating a team like the Birds is null and void.
The Birds still had to do the job though and Curtis was impressive hitting four and being named man of match

Birds 6 vs 6 Allstar Revolution
Premiership Shield
The Birds showed their determination and grit to gain two points with a last gasp strike.
Allstar Revolution were cruising 5-1 with only 6 minutes to go after a superb team performance but not for the first time in recent memory Allstar’s threw the game away. Miraculously the Birds chipped away and as soon as they made it 5-2 thanks to Andy Harbourne they gained that crucial momentum, it seemed as though Allstar’s would just have to accept whatever fate bought them as Birds notched goal after goal and eventually levelled the game with a Curtis strike.

FC Butterbean 6 vs 4 FC Heat
Championship Shield
FC Heat could only wish they had the creative and finishing gems like Butterbean do as the fire power department dominated the show at hand.
Cliff ‘Hollywood’ Darby showed his brilliance with a dazzling solo effort in the first half, his silver screen talents added two more goals while ‘Sir’ Will was also sharing centre stage helping himself to the other three.
FC Heat needs a goalscorer and if rumours are to be believed they could be signing former G14 and Sunday International Nick shortly.
Cov Legion 2 vs 9 GSH
GSH sit nicely on top of the Premiership as they took advantage of a weak Cov Legion.
Raff was down to two original Legion players as he fights for his Clubs future but GSH were in no mood to show sympathy and destroyed Legion throughout.
The form of young star Hayden Ludford will please Dennis as the striker is red hot at the moment he outshone all those on show and looks at home on the big stage.
T.L.F 8 vs 2 Danny’s Boys
T.L.F was on fire again and outclassed fellow Championship rivals Danny’s Boys.
Both teams will certainly fancy their chances at glory this season but it was T.L.F who could well be the better pick of the two.
Danny’s Boys have had to sacrifice Danny as former keeper Luke joined G-Star and Danny is being sorely missed outfield the defeat could prompt Danny’s Boys to sign a keeper to keep up their dreams of finally winning the Championship.
Pudlians 1 vs 2 City Seagulls
Pudlians will look back at this game as two points lost as they dominated the share of this match.
Mark, Lee and Daz Cooke were constantly peppering the Gulls goal but could only find Dave ‘Disco’ Vernon in splendid form and the shot stopper almost single handily bought this win home for Seagulls he even saved a Daz Cooke penalty in the second half, credit to the Gulls though they snuck the win and these type of victories are what the Gulls must do to remain on their surge to stardom.

Birds 6 vs 7 City Rejects
It was a real fiery encounter between these two top tier teams.
The Birds edged the first half as both teams attacked with menace Birds striker Curtis Liburd looked up for it and was sizzling in that half.
Second half the game intensified as tackles flew in some fair and some not but the Birds still looked the team likely to take the victory however them odds soon swung back in favour of Rejects as Curtis was Red Carded for a clash with the Hall of Famer Gavin Lee. Rejects took control and Danny ‘Hitman’ Thompson led by example and dominated the outfield while keeper Ian ‘Iceman’ Clelland took care at the rear.
It was a massive win for Rejects manager Terry Heard who enters into his Hall of Fame induction week the most satisfying thing for him would be the way his men dug deep and stayed together in what was certainly a ferocious match.

Ten Left Feet 3 vs 6 Motley Barnets
Championship Shield
A big shock result too many but not to Barnet followers as those in the know, know that Barnets are assembling a potent squad.
Ten Left Feet have been almost immaculate thus far and were expected to ease past Barnets but that wasn’t to be and it was in the second half Barnet’s made it count with a great team performance and if they can keep Matty Upton in their match day squads they could be a major force in 07.
Pudlians 2 vs 2 Indoor Milan
Premiership Shield
It was another frustrating game for Pudlians as the club continue to struggle to find top form this season.
Pudlians deserved to maybe edge this tie after they were excellent on the counter attack and it was that style of play which gave Mark two goals and the dynamic midfielder took both of them well, but replies from Ash and Adam kept Indoor in the picture, both teams will be certainly looking for improvements in the coming weeks.
Motley Barnets 4 vs 5 GSH reserves
Barnet’s also put to bed GSH reserves against the run of form.
GSH reserves have looked handy of late and a 14 goal haul last week proved they were dangerous going into this game however they couldn’t match Barnet’s man for man in the performance stakes and that resulted in them losing the major prize on offer, the 3 points so Barnet’s manager James can now feel a little more optimistic that his hard work will bear rich fruit come the end of the season.
Butterbean SC 6 vs 4 FC Twente
Championship Shield
SC instead of FC, Twente instead of Heat but the same outcome as the Club Butterbean celebrated their second win by the same scoreline.
Four from Will and singles from Liam and Adam done the job the latter was excellent and reinforced his growing reputation that goes along with his ever growing ‘fro’
