Cov Legion 3 vs 6 The Birds

Cov Legion’s poor start to 07 continued as the Birds took the spoils in this great encounter.
Despite missing Tompkins (Long term injury) Legion started well and their usual attacking flair was on show as Peden and Danny linked up well and maybe deserved to be leading at the break but for some fine saves by Andy Watt’s Snr.
A wonderful Andy Harbourne free kick set Birds on the road to the win as the goal made it 2-1 shortly into the second half, Birds then went on to dominate and fully deserved the victory when all was said and done
.
Cov Legion 3 vs 5 City Seagulls

Legion then went on to the Seagulls encounter in a despondent mood which was made worse after Peden was declared less than 70% fit for the game.
The Age of the Gulls seems to have started as they swept aside Legion and took a 3-0 lead after some excellent team plays. They never had it all their own way as Legion perhaps dominated possession but just didn’t have an end product or found Disco Dave in splendid form.
A great win for the Seagulls though and keeps their unbeaten league run in tact as they look to make big waves this season.
Allstar Revolution 3 vs 9 Pudlians

Pudlians rekindled their love affair with winning and in spectacular fashion as they submitted their Premiership counterparts with an impressive display.
The game was not played in the best of sportsmanship ways as both teams taunted each other well that’s until Pudlians took full control then there was only one team doing the taunting. Lee Long was sensational as he nullified any attacking threat while also engineering the counter attacks that won Pudlians the game.
FC Heat 0 vs 15 City Rejects

It’s going to be hard enough for teams to play Rejects when on form but when you are low on morale and confidence it’s bend over time and take your spanking.
Rejects were just to formidable for Heat and went about their business with real title ambition intent in their play and it looks as if ‘The Hitman’ is back and hungry himself for regaining his position as the best in the world, Danny hit 8 goals and was just unplayable at times.
Indoor Milan 10 v 1 FC Heat

Heat were then brushed aside by Indoor Milan and the returning favourite Jason Wigmore showed what his old charges were missing with a fine individual performance.
It was totally one sided and only a neat finish by Jamie Lenton sparred Heat two whitewashes on the bounce.
Indoor Milan 5 vs 3 City Seagulls
Elite League

A real rivalry is building here as the two teams swapped trades on the guestbook to doing battle in the rectangle.
The game was close throughout with both teams proving they have the tools to back up their egos as Indoor Milan’s Ash and Adam Lewis were proving menaces to society and the Gulls elegant Show Stopper Joe Barr was also dazzling but it was Indoor Milan who found that extra gear and a late goal by Adam Lewis really put the tie to bed with Ash adding the finishing touch.
G-Star 8 vs 2 Strong Island

G-Star striker Ryan was brilliant on the night and it was mainly his quality that bought G-Star the points. Leading 2-0 at the break G-Star ran away with the tie to solidify their potential to become champions.
G-Star 3 vs 5 Ten Left Feet

A result that could divine where the Championship title ends up as the two contenders served up a fiery but entertaining encounter.
Ten Left at one stage had a 4-1 lead but the spirited G-Star clawed back and were unlucky not take a draw but Ten Left Feet now look a real force and could run away with the Championship at this rate.
Ten Left Feet 15  vs 2 The Bookies

A massive difference in experience and quality as Ten Left Feet ruthlessly took care of the newcomers Goals thanks to 4 from John Brolly, 3’s from Sean and Dan, two apiece from Mike and Aaron with the final one thanks to Mark.
St George Utd 6 vs 8 FC Twente Bensons

FC Twente picked up a great win but must be said against the run of play.
St George controlled most of the game but again in strange fashion they gifted the game to their opponents and when the Ginger Assassin is on that opposing team it’s a silly thing to do, Scott netted 6 of FC Twente’s 8 in a match winning second display.
St George Utd 6 vs 7 Danny’s Boys

St George Utd shown their jackal and Hyde sides again as they threw away a 5-2 lead to be beaten by Danny’s Boys.
St George were brilliant in the 1st half and adopted a shoot on site policy and it worked as they raced into the lead and looked as they would add more as Danny’s Boys were non existent but something sparked them into life and Danny’s Boys looked a different breed in the second half in fact the roles just reserved and St George and turned invisible and Danny’s Boys had their way taking the much needed 3pts.
Motley Barnets 7 vs 2 Danny’s Boys

This was Ollie Dalton’s first match as a Hall of Famer and it seemed to bring the defender and his team a masterful display.
The Hall of Famer excelled in his new god like role as he led Barnets to the storming win, weather it was advice to the young ones or wearing his heart on his sleeve on the pitch he was an inspiration to the Barnet clan and followers and capped a great weekend for Ollie Dalton.
Crossbar 0 vs 6 Strong Island

A very scrappy game was won by the right side as Crossbar were very poor, missing key player George was a major factor as without him they lack creative play, neither the less the win equals Strong Island’s winning tally from the LeagueofChampions so history awaits them!!
Motley Barnets 9 vs 6 FC Twente Bensons

A win that took Barnets to the summit of the Championship and they done it in real style. The duo of Jordan and Lee were just too hot for FC to handle and the two ran riot even outclassing the star that is Scott.
Manager James continues to earn rave reviews and could Barnets actually do the impossible…and win something!!?
