City Seagulls 5 p vs 5 A-Star
League Cup
It took two missed A-Star penalties to separate these two Premiership giants.
The game was an exciting one with both playing football as it should be, Seagulls took an early lead thanks to a nice finish from Joe ‘Showstopper’ Barr and that sparked the game into life and A-Star then raced into a 4-2 lead.
With the game in A-Stars grasp the self styled Mafia regrouped and turned it on in the second half to take the game to the penalty shootout.

Motley Barnets 4 vs 9 St George Utd
Barnets surrendered the destiny of the Championship title in what was a major shock on the night.
Everyone knows St George Utd have the capabilities to win this division but for whatever reasons they have failed to live up to the expectations but on Sunday they delivered. St George was just better all over the rectangle and James was sensational in the destruction of Barnets.
The major winners of the game is the chasing pack which includes Ten Left Feet, G-Star and Butterbean SC who will now see the championship back wide open.

Strong Island 5 vs 10 Crossbar
It was the calm before the storm for Crossbar who was involved in ‘black Sunday’ moments after this game.
Strong Island were probably favourites from the start and kept to that notion leading 5-4 at half time but Crossbar found third gear in the second half and Joe Knott was the saviour scoring 4 second half goals, 5 in total and also set up Ryan Blackwell on numerous occasions, a great victory for the boys from Binley.

Ziggy Tooters 6 vs 7 City Rejects
Rejects were lucky to come away from this match with their unbeaten league run still in tact after Ziggy Tooters gave them a real scare.
Those who know their 5Star history will know Ziggy Tooters are team not to be taken lightly by any means and they took a 4-1 lead thanks to Luke (3) and Ash.
If it wasn’t for arguably the best player in the 5star World Danny Thompson Rejects would have been roasted. Yet again Danny pulled Rejects from the shag pile and to Victory, The Hitman netted six of the Rejects seven.
The Birds 4 vs 6 Merchants
The Birds again failed to keep a seal on their emotions and that led to the usual Merchants victory.
Brian Ndlouv and lil Muzzy both netted three in a game the Merchants never looked like losing.
Cov Legion 4 vs 2 A-Star
A-Star were frustrated after the game as they fell just short of what is needed to beat big teams like Cov Legion.
Admittedly Legion have not been at the races thus far in season 07 but the sight of Peden back on the Rectangle will please manager Raff (hof). It was Peden who put Legion in front for the first time and eventually led them to victory, stand in keeper Ian Lewis was perhaps the man of the day for Legion after a number of outstanding saves kept out A-Star and went along way in Legion picking up the 3pts.
The Birds 7 vs 5 Pudlians
League Cup
The Birds made it into the quarter finals with a battling win over The Birds.
The game was a real cracker with end to end stuff from start to finish
Two late goals from Curtis Liburd and Jonah sealed the victory and puts The Birds in the hat for the draw.
FC Butterbean 1 vs 5 City Seagulls
Elite League
The Seagulls suffered their second defeat in the competition between the 5Star Worlds top ten teams.
It was a commanding performance by FC Butterbean especially in the second half and ‘Sir’ Will showed why he is going to be a big loss to Butterbean as the beanpole like midfielder/Attacker fed well of the scraps left by the Showman Cliff ‘Hollywood’ Darby.
THE 'MAFIA' STRIKE DOWN THE A-STARS IN THE LEAGUE CUP........................
Motley Barnets 13 vs 4 Ink Brothers
The Ink Bros went into the game full of confidence after the victory over Spartans but they were soon to be given a reality check as Barnets showed the new boys what it takes to be a leading title contender.

300 Spartans 2 vs 4 Ink Brothers

Both side’s need a lethal finisher desperately as they struggled in the final third Ink Bros Player Manager George was the best on the rectangle though and his composure saw the tattoo master and his boys seal the victory.
GSH reserves 5 vs 7 G-Star
A depleted G-Star was able to overcome the odds and record their 4th win off the season.
The victory had to be fought for and they won the battle with Jamie Lenton in particular good on the day for G-Star. The win keeps G-Star in the hunt for Championship honours.
GSH 4 vs 5 FC Heat
Super Cup
It was a great victory for FC Heat who will look at this competition as a real possability for silverware this season.
The two sides have a storied history but on Sunday it was Heat who were the most dominant, goals from Chris (2), Paddy (2) and Mercid doing the necessary job.
FC Twente Bensons 1 vs3 Butterbean SC
Butterbean kept their unbeaten league streak in tact and will soon be looking seriously at taking the reigns of the Championship table.
Two from Will and the other from Ross caused the damage but the overall team play from Butterbean was unrivalled and FC Twente Bensons just couldn’t live with that.
