GSH 5 vs 9 City Rejects
Rejects made sure of runners up spot with a victory they fully deserved.
GSH were not in this game at all as Rejects destroyed them at will and with Iceman and Danny T (hof) pledging their immediate futures to Rejects, could Season 08 finally be the season they reach the mountain top?
Cov Legion 1 vs 6 Ink Brothers
E.O.S Cup
Ink Brothers stretched their unbeaten run to seven games with a massive win over Premiership side Cov Legion.
Cov Legion have been so inconsistent this season and again Sunday they were just not at the races, it was all level at half time but legion knew that unless they upped their own game Ink Brothers would win the game and unfortunately for Raff (hof) they were unable to do so and Ink Brothers now only need a win over Fleff Bar to reach their first ever semi-finals.
Ink Brothers 8 vs 6 St George Utd
Ink Brothers then made it 8 without loss and also jumped up to 6th in the table.
Ink Brothers blasted their way to five without reply first half mainly thanks to some great team play Shane, Justin and Gardy in particular linking well.
Second half the Ink made hard work of their lead and allowed an under par St George to creep back into the game Ash netting 3 well taken goals but Ink Brothers held on to secure all the points.
The Birds 2 vs 3 Pudlians
Premiership Shield Semi - Final
Pudlians used all their know how to secure their spot in the final.
It was frantic throughout as both teams were desperate to reach the last two but the Pudlians used tactics that have been used against them in the past and really never gave the Birds an inch and harassed and bustled the Birds which helped them to take a 3-1 lead.
With 5 minutes on the clock it was all Birds but as the time ticked away the more desperate Birds got and it showed as Curtis, Jonah and Danny D all missed good chances they did pull one back through Danny Bell but Pudlians held firm to sneak into the final.
Cov Legion 3 vs 6 FC Butterbean
FC Butterbean capped off a magnificent season with a great win and a great final league standing.
Butterbean were always in command and lead 4-1 at half time, recent Hall of Fame entrant Danny Thompson showed he still has miles left on the clock with a great performance but the man of the half hour was the Macci (Butterbean) who showed glimpses off why he has the potential to move on and be a real star next season, he netted two as well as picking up the man of the match nomination.
FC Butterbean 1 vs 6 City Rejects
The return of Danny Thompson (hof) and Scott Hennell only showed what might have been had the two been available in the final running of 07.
The two were just too hot to handle also new signing Will impressed on his debut with a solid defensive performance.
HAVE YOUR SAY
St George Utd 7 vs 2 300 Spartans
E.O.S Cup
Could the real St George please stand up, please stand up because in this game they were back to their wild best.
Online player of 07 Mike was in stunning form and dominated the rectangle with real vigour and passion but the highlight of the game was the usual St George goalkeeper Stu shinning one in, in a rare outing outfield.
Merchants 3 vs 2 Mean Machine
Premiership Shield Final
Had the Pudlians started the final as they finished it they would of been crowned winners.
Pudlians started off very slow and allowed Merchants to dictate the tempo and this allowed Merchants to edge two up and it looked as though it was going to be a rout.
Credit to Pudlians though they identified the problem and went at Merchants in their usual robust way second half and it paid dividends until Brian snatched a winner with a clinical finish.
