In a world of war, where being the best is all that counts, brings jealousy and hate. A weekend where friendships off the pitch are put to the side and all that counts is REVENGE
CLUB HEAT and REDS Friday Leagues
In a feud that spans back to season 03 S.ELSE vs EXCELSIOR has been the game we all wait to come around. Both clubs had glory in season 05 with Something Else winning the Premiership with a classic win over Excelsior on the last game of season but Excelsior then went on to be crowned the BESToftheBEST after winning on the grandest stage of them all the President Cup beating Something Else along the way BUT now the rivalry is set to be renewed. Respect of the pitch but on the pitch it’s a war and REVENGE is there to be had.
PRE MATCH PREDICTIONS
Something Else Camp:
Danny Thompson
We are a stronger team all round especially now they won’t have Curtis who is banned. Excelsior have never beaten us in the league and might play on there minds. Dave Jones is our rock at the back that can also score goals.
Pred: 6-3 Something Else

Matty G
It’ll definitely be a close game but I think we’ll have the edge with players like Reecey and Thommo who will always score goals.
Pred: 7-6 Something Else

Andy Watts- Manager
It will be tight as they usually are with the top 2 teams, I wont take them lightly even though they are without Curtis but I don’t think Excelsior look as good as they were last season and haven’t impressed that much yet, but we all know what they are capable of.
Pred: 7-6 Something Else

Steve Reece
They haven’t got any fire Power without Curtis, and are too easy to score past, I’ll score a hat trick no problem.
Pred: 7-2 Something Else
Excelsior Camp:
Gavin Lee - Manager
These are the games my players thrive on being involved in i think we will edge the game mainly due to the form of James. Don't get me wrong the game will be tough but if we play to our peak i can see no other result apart from an Excelsior victory. With Curtis banned the mantle of scoring our goals will fall to feet of Lil Dan and Ash who both now have to start to fulfill their potential as i have just aquired a new hungry striker who will debut at Revenge.
Pred: 8-7 Excelsior

Mark Quinn

Gavin will be our key, he’ll cope with Thommo, and so long as we close them down quickly and not give them space to shoot we should win comfortably.
Pred: 6-4 Excelsior

Ash McBride

Thommo loses his cool too easy and Gav knows how to play against him, with Lil Dan out of Curtis’ shadow he’ll be our key player, Ive seen Matty G make lots of mistakes lately too and he cant afford to do that against us
Pred: 6-4 Excelsior

Lil Dan

Ash is a relatively unknown entity to most players which will cause problems our defence is definitely capable of keeping S.else at bay, Iceman will be our key as he’s in great form lately.
Pred: 7-8 Excelsior

Ian ‘Iceman’ Clelland

Gavin will be our key player, we’ll definitely beat them just like in the cup, we’ve got nothing to fear now, Gav will keep Thommo quite.
Pred: 7-6 Excelsior

Danny Bell

It’ll be a tight game as everyone knows but we have a really good team spirit and strength in numbers which I  don’t think they possess and not only that but I’m back.
Pred: 4-3 Excelsior
What the rest say:
Paul Price - K.Kobras
It’ll be a feisty game as normal, Excelsior are good playing from the back so I think Gavin is the key player also Lil Dan has impressed me lately.
Pred: 6-4 Excelsior

Nick Janda - K.Kobras
It’ll be a game of long range shooting, both teams have players who can hit a ball so it depends how Iceman can cope with it, I don’t think Excelsior look back to there best yet.
Pred: 10-7 S.Else

Jim - Dizzy Tooters

With players like Thommo and Steve Reece who have lethal left feet they will look to hit the ball from anywhere I guarantee so Iceman will be the key to keeping the score down, but without Curtis they might struggle to score themselves, will be close though.
Pred: 6-4 S.Else

Ian Davies - Millers Appeal
Dave Jones has looked immense lately, he’s such a strong player going forward and staying back, he’ll be the key to a win, Something else look like a more settled team as they know who is playing.
Pred: 7-3 S.Else

Pete - Next Best Thing

I think that S.Else will have the edge as they have done in previous games and winning the title over them last season might play on Excelsior’s minds a little. Thommo is gay but definitely the main threat as he always scores and Matty G is tough to beat.
Pred: 6-3 S.Else

Cliff 'Hollywood' Darby - FC Your Mum

With no Curtis and a squad that seems a bit unsettled because its so large I think S.Else have the edge. Thommo is such a prolific goalscorer and im not sure Ash is physical enough for such a battle with experienced players.
Pred: 8-5 S.Else

Kuli - Millers Appeal

Something Else have more of an all round team with quality throughout, they don’t have too many players and are a settled team with everyone knowing what to do. Excelsior have yet to hit top form so could be right time to face them.
Pred: 6-3 S.Else

Danny Gay - Mozzies Army

Well we’ve just been battered by S.Else 10-0 and should’ve beat Excelsior last week so I think after playing both S.Else seem the stronger team, they have to much power going forward.
Pred: 6-3 S.Else
Other games on the Revenge Predictions:
REVENGE
REVENGE
Mean Machine vs Sweden FC
Mean Machine are top of the First Division and looking a good bet for promotion with a 100% win record so far. Sweden FC however are also unbeaten in the league and with the emergence of young Ash McBride who has hit 13 goals in 2 games so far this tie has the potential to e a classic. Both teams have that fiery attitude that must be kept at bay in particular Daz from mean Machine and Adam McBride from Sweden FC.
You cant get 2 teams of such different styles, Sweden are the young fast, more skilful of the two but the energy and physical presence of the Mean Machine could be a little too much for Ash and Dan, whichever team can stay focused and keep there cools will come out on top in this one.
ECCC vs Mozzies Army
Mozzies Army are the new team to the premier League but definitely aren’t here to make up the numbers, after a fantastic result against Excelsior in week 1 drawing the game and perhaps having deserved the win they faltered a little last week against S.Else, but the players they possess are more than capable of causing an upset or two along the way. These two teams have already met in last seasons New Team Cup and they battled out a 1-1 draw, they then met again in the semi final which ECCC edged in a close encounter.
ECCC are undoubtedly one of the title favourites after an impressive campaign 2 seasons ago where they surely would’ve won the Premier title had they not had to pull out due to other commitments. They have the skill and strength to cause any teams problems especially in the Swaffield brothers. We look forward to a fast, entertaining game.
CITY REJECTS vs OLD BOYS
Noonie - Never Enough
I think Old Boys will sneak this one 3-2.

Danny Thompson - Never Enough
Like my team-mate I have to go with Old Boys 3-2.

Gaz - City Rejects
We have a better team this year and I think we will finally beat them

Terry H - City Rejects (Manager)
It will be close but I feel we have enough to win.

Raff - Cov Legion
Will be close and a good game to watch maybe a draw is on the cards.

President
I can’t wait as this game is what the Revenge P.P.V is all about but I don’t think Rejects will get it as I suspect some of their key players will fall prey to what I call ‘self destruction’ syndrome.
CITY SEAGULLS vs MOTLEY BARNETS
Joe Barr- City Seagulls
Only one winner and that’s us I predict a score line of 6-3.

Mark Quinn- Millers Appeal and M.V.P’S
The Barnets have gelled well so far this season and for this I predict an easy victory for them, something around 7-3.

Carl Pickup- Lloyds Bar
I am backing Motley Barnets as I HATE Seagulls boss and Striker Nick Frost as he always scores pass me.

Ollie - Motley Barnets
We will win and do them 6-0,6-1 in life you either smoke or get smoked and Seagulls will get stubbed out like a B&H ciggie

Shady - City Seagulls

Revenge will be a dish served cold, very cold.

James - M.Barnets
We will win about 12-5.

Nick J - M.Barnets
I am looking forward to going clay seagull shooting!
FOOTBALL FACTORY vs GSH
Paul- GSH
This will be a bloodbath and we will be victors 7-2.

Jodie- Football Factory
My boys will win this easily and I reckon 14-6 would be satisfactory……go Paddy!!
THE BUSINESS vs DANNY'S BOYS
Martin ‘Tank’ Berry- Danny’s Boys
9-4 to us.

Andrew ‘Virgin’ Weaston - Danny’s Boys
It will be close could even be a draw

Steve- The Business
They know we will win.

John - The Business
You having a laugh they can’t lace our boots.
