“I have said times before that the tide is changing within the company and new forces are crossing the oceans and Sunday it showed again just how far some of our teams have come.
GSH had a wonderful tournament reaching the semi-final and overcoming some difficult obstacles along the way and they seem to have the right formula to go far next season.
Now many say in the President’s Cup one team upsets the form book well in my opinion this team done so much more than that, they banished the myth of their balls for the fight, and their ability to produce on the biggest stage but Sunday belonged to two teams the eventual winners and City Seagulls….Take a bow
Not fancied by no one to stand a chance of getting out of their group which included heavyweights such as Boys R Back and Indoor Milan.
The ‘Flying Squad’ have finally come of age, finally stood up and were counted and more importantly they can be very proud of their achievements.
The victory over City Rejects will go down in history as one of the best results in the Presidents Cup.
Inter Girls, Mean Machine and F.Y.M all had a decent tournament and in F.Y.M case they could feel a little disappointed they never went further than they did.
The future is very bright within the company and the teams mentioned above now must fulfil their potentials as I expect to see these teams now move on and achieve greatness,
Greatness like the winners……….

At the start of this season I had many chats with Boys R Back manager and newly inducted Hall of Fame Jazz Singh about his ambitions of season 06 in his words…..”
“Phil, I want two things that I feel belong to our club, firstly the Friday Premiership crown and then the Presidents Cup”
“Well the man backed up his words, he wasn’t present at the event and neither was influential defender Kim Green but it seems these days we all miss the fact that they have one man who has carried Boys R Back to legendary status and that man is Meluci.
A little older and a little slower but no one produces on the big stage, event in and event out like Melusi and without doubt he has been the brightest star at 5Star Promotions for the last 4 years.
The Presidents Cup again showed why we are the No1 Footballing Entertainment Company in the country and it leaves me just to say thank you to you all and once again congratulation to the Presidents Cup winners and ChampionsofChampions
