4Covs got off to a perfect start scoring inside the first minute, Scott finding space down the left to score with his first touch.
4Covs tactics seemed to involve the impressive Scott as he looked to receive the ball all the time.
Their lead lasted all of 2 minutes though as Steve Reece was upended just outside the box, Reece took the free kick himself and dispatched it calmly in the bottom corner.
Scott could’ve scored again within minutes but for 2 excellent saves from Shake n Bake goalkeeper Tom. Shake n Bake were being pegged back in their own half as Jamie and Scott began to link up well, Scott once again finding himself with only the keeper to beat after some neat footwork to make space but another top save from Tom kept his team in it.
Some loose passing from Shake n Bake were causing themselves problems but a rare time they kept the ball it was Steve Reece that powered his way through the 4covs defence and blasted his finish under the goalkeeper.
The ball went straight back up the other end though and Scott scored his second with a good goal.
The game was end to end now and within minutes Shake n Bake were ahead again, Steve Reece once again involved with some good work down the left and crossing for Patty with an easy tap in.
Just before the break 4covs had a penalty appeal turned down as Jake appeared to step in the area, but the referee waved play on.
The 2nd half was a much different affair, becoming scrappy, Scott appearing to be at the brunt of some rough treatment, finding himself on the floor more than his feet.
Reece picking up a yellow card in the process for persistently fouling him.
As Reece was sat on the sidelines 4Covs applied the pressure and it paid off somewhat disputed though as Jamie Lenton played the ball across the area Scott found the finishing touch to score, however he appeared to be in the area himself when he made contact, the referee missed it and the goal stood to take the game into penalties.
Patty stepped up first and scored. 1-0
Jamie Lenton, the self proclaimed penalty king placed his penalty……..wide. 1-0
Up stepped Jake….straight down the middle. 2-0
Scott then sent Ging the wrong way. 2-1
It was all down to Steve Reece as he coolly placed his kick in the bottom corner 3-1
