NEW TEAM CUP HISTORY
The New Team Cup bought us some good memories in season 05 when Cock Fighters won the trophy but this season’s finale has the makings of being a real bellter.
Motley Barnets have had their critics over the course of the season but to those in the know The Barnets have been a breath of fresh air into the Sunday Division One league. The club emerged after K.Kobras gave up their Sunday slot and with the committed ones still wanting to play joined forces with some exiled City Seagulls players and together they become Motley Barnets. Already in their short history they have made an appearance on every P.P.V in season 06 and unfortunately have lost them all but could they have saved the best till last!?
Mean Machine or known to some as the Pudlians joined us in Season 05 after spending most of their 5 a side careers in the ‘minor’ leagues that are run around Coventry. They arrived on the big stage and initially found the going to tough to come to terms to life the 5Star way. As they got accustomed the Pudlians created their Friday Team Mean Machine and that Machine bulldozed its way to The Friday Division One title and the Reds Cup. Now their gaze is firmly on the New Team Cup because the competition represents the best of the new breed and to be truly considered more than a one hit wonder they must add this crown to their collection.
