It was an eagerly awaited match up and the 5Star World was not disappointed.
The build up to this main event was unprecedented on the guestbook as the Mafia boiled the pot nicely but boy did City Rejects reach boiling point and they exploded all over the Seagulls Mafia.

City Rejects led by caretaker manager Mark Quinn set out the traps focused and in an aggressive fashion it wasn’t long before Gavin Lee
(hof) welcomed Nick Frost to the cauldron of fire as the defender went in hard on the Godfather much to the displeasure of the watching Frostettes and from that challenge it was all Rejects.
Scott Hennell opened the scoring with a well taken goal after good work by BIG Gaz the Gulls tried to respond as they were failing to cope with intensity of City Rejects Lee Konrath was probed but to no avail. Danny Thompson made it 2-0 soon into the half lashing a shot past the bewildered Disco Dave in the Seagulls goal, it was Danny who was the most fired up and his passion was on full show
the ‘Hitman’ was dominating all aspects of this game and he should of made it 3 but could only find the back wall went set free by Scott Hennell.
Seagulls were just not competing on the same level as City Rejects but a rare attack saw Lee hit a tame effort only to watch it be gladly received by the hands of Ian ‘iceman’ Clelland in the Rejects goal however the striker did raise the Seagulls hopes moments later pulling a goal back against the run of play and this gave the Gulls a bit of hope Lee again broke free after turning Gavin
(hof) inside out but couldn’t find the back off the net Iceman saving the goal bound effort.
Rejects manager Mark Quinn switched a few things at this point to stem the Seagulls resurggengence and it worked Danny netting his second to make it 3-1 and soon after Danny made it 4,5 and 6-1 the half time whistle couldn’t come quick enough as the Mafia needed to regroup and fast.
The half time break only gave Rejects a chance to refuel and they came out swinging Danny Thompson scoring his seventh after a brilliant solo run, the game was gone for the Gulls and now it was just down to how much Rejects wanted to punish them and punishment was on the mind of Rejects Hamed as he started a running feud with the Godfather and was showing no mercy nearly bringing the Godfather to cause some major GBH right there and then, with Frost occupied by Hamed fellow striker Lee Konrath was doing his upmost to restore something for the Seagulls but when clean through could only find the muscular frame of Iceman with his effort the keeper then quickly set up Scott with his trademark throw Scott helped himself to his second of the night.
The goals continued to flow at will and a magnificent finish by Mark Quinn capped of a fine game for the Rejects and also secures another winning notch to put on his unblemished Caretaker management belt of Quinny.
