What the Manager's said:
Team Friday Manager Mark says:
I was bitterly disappointed with certain players failing to show so I can’t really bemoan this loss and I can’t fault the effort put in from my 6 players. Would’ve liked to have seen a bit more oomph going forward and a bit more venom in front of goal but a fully deserved win for the Sunday team (eventually).
Team Sunday Manager and 5Star supremo The President says:
I always told the world that my Team Sunday were going to click and play the type of football that the President wants and enjoys and in this game we had the total package. From Jecko in goal to Hamed leading the attack we were 1st class the result is not about the scorline but in the manner we dispatched Team Friday, now i know they would lay cliams to lack of players but that is the duty of their manager and if i am honest even if their other players had turned up the outcome would have been the same as i feel we were unstoppable on the night.
On another note the C.E.O and myself are both disappointed in those who failed to show or even give a courtosy phone call to say they were not coming and rest assured those who never turned up will never play international football.
Kim Green - Old Boys
Hamed - Allstar Rev
Muzo - Playerz
Jecko - Playerz
Danny T - Never Enough
Johnny B - Never Enough
Danny E - City Rejects
Team Sunday Assistant Manager Paul Price says:
This team is getting closer and closer to that win now. I have to admit our 1st division performances have been poor previously, but yesterday they showed a lot of commitment and it was a case of us not getting the rub of the green in front of goal, whereas they did. I think our lads at the back were brilliant, and Martin particularly, who is definitely one of the best defenders in these leagues in my view. We need to be more clinical now in front of goal, and I’ll say again, the win WILL come.

Matty G (GK)
I felt sorry for him as he didn’t get the usual solid defending in front of him he is used to, didn’t have the best of games but couldn’t really fault him for any of the goals, admitted himself he was disappointed in himself, im sure he will bounce back though.
Rating: 6
Gavin Lee (Cap)
Suffered from lack of cover and had to remain on the pitch for most of the game, always kept to his defensive duties but found The Sunday team on almost a constant attack that left him vulnerable at times.
Rating: 6
Dave Jones
Somewhat quiet tonight, didn’t seem his usual self and was caught flat footed on a few occasions, again though cant fault his effort as he too had no real cover to help out, was unlucky not to score in the second half.
Rating: 6
Curtis Liburd
Was the only player that looked like scoring and was always running at players and causes problems, unfortunately had no-one to link up with and was forced into long range shots, would’ve liked to have seen him cut in from the right on his left foot a little more.
Rating: 6
Nick Janda
A poor game from the ever present, didn’t really get going and looked a little lost at times, again though it didn’t help that he had no support but didn’t help out getting back.
Rating: 5
Mark Quinn
A late call up due to “injuries” but he never really showed any of his earlier glimpses in front of goal, failed to inspire although he had played 3 games prior to this one, perhaps he will feel a little hard done by as he wasn’t expecting his call up.
Rating: 5
Jecko (GK)
Proved why he is rated pound4pound the no1 shot stopper in the leagues. Made some splendid saves to keep an unthought-of of International Clean Sheet.
Rating: 9
Kim Green (Cap)
Could have been the real factor of Team Sunday’s dominance, leadership organization and high quality is what the veteran player showed simply perfect.
Rating: 10
Danny E
Knew he had a job to do when going on and replacing Kim but the Rejects handled his business well. Was solid in the tackle but did roam out of position at times but overall an exemplary debut.
Rating: 8
Johnny B
A late call up for the Never Enough man but showed his abilities with a workman like performance. Was asked to do certain jobs for team and done them with confidence and class.
Rating: 8
Hamed
Struggled to get to grips with Team Sunday’s slick pass and move football but once the Allstar Striker got his rhythm and bearings he was a threat.
Rating: 7
Muzo
Team Sunday regular and again showed his undoubted talent. Helped keep the team’s tempo in check and was always in the thick of the action
Rating: 8
Danny Thompson
The Hitman was superb in this his second Team Sunday international. The striker’s mind was fully on this game and his finishing ability was a sight to behold, did however miss a second half penalty
Rating: 9
