INTER LEAGUE CUP FINAL
NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS
INDOOR MILAN vs NEVER ENOUGH
Never Enough and Indoor Milan have served up some feisty games in there league encounters and no one was expecting anything less tonight as the two big Sunday teams battled it out.
Never Enough started the brightest creating the clearer of the chances but Ian in Milans goal seemed to be up for the task ahead pulling off two first class saves from Thommo and Bothie.
Indoor Milan took advantage of The missed chances by taking the lead through young Adam finishing with ease after an incisive break away in which he left two Never Enough defenders trailing in his wake.
Never Enough equalised through the Hitman Danny Thompson after good work from young Dan breaking up the play but it was Indoor Milan that reacted the better scoring two goals in quick succession both courtesy of Lil Ash McBride. Indoor Milan looked comfortable at this point and could have stretched there lead as Gavin miss hit a shot he should have done better with. Never Enough just clawed there way back into it after a superb pass from Noonie set up Johnny B who cooly slotted home from close range. The provider then gave Never Enough a much needed life line scoring a spectacular individual effort to give them even score lines going into the break.
The second half was a different story for Indoor Milan as they never got going and struggled to keep possession. There confident passing seemed to disappear as the introduction of Curtis and his direct style of play failed to pay off as Never Enough shackled the striker and limited him to scrap as his drive and ability to run at players didn’t have the desired effect and Never Enough hit Indoor Milan with two counter attacks that both led to the winning goals scored by Brothy and the man of the match Noonie.
Indoor Milan will feel slightly aggrieved at the fact they failed to put away their chances early on and had it not been for a tactical error at management level Indoor Milan may have taken more from the game but it was Never Enough who added more silverware to the already packed trophie cabinet and must surly now secured their place in 5star History.
HOW THEY RATED
Indoor Milan
Ian
A good game for the ever improving keeper, made several excellent saves and will feel unlucky to be on the losing side.
Rating 8
Gavin Lee
Never shirked a challenge but struggled in the second half to contain the Never Enough attack.
Rating 6
Adam M
Went missing when Milan were trailing failed his audition to be classed as a top player.
Rating 6
Young Adam
His pace was devastating and glided past the Never Enough players like an elegant ice skater, also was sharp in front of goal. He can feel happy with his contribution to the Milan challenge.
Rating 7
Lil Ash
Was the main man up until tactical changes affected his game. Started out as an attacker but then ended his game as a defender.
Rating 7
Curtis L
Arrived late due to bus problems and by the time the talented striker got to the game the pace was quick. Failed to really get up to speed when he came on and couldn’t make the impact he would have liked.
Rating 6
Never Enough
Matty Gee
Commanded his team in his usual dominant fashion, his organisation is second to none and add that to his undoubted keeping abilities the uncrowned ‘No1’ proved his worth
Rating 8
Young Dan
Never really got into the game but did what was asked of him well.
Rating 7
Johnny B
Was like a buzzing wasp all game and deserved his winning medal.
Rating 8
Mike
Returned to the Never Enough fold but struggled with his fitness.
Rating 6
Danny Thompson
Showed he still has ‘it’ with an excellent attacking performance.
Rating 8
Steve Reece
Governed Curtis when he came on, always a fan favourite Steve showed his desire to help Never Enough pick up another crown.
Rating 7
Noonie
Was man of the match and really won the game for his team. 3 minutes of genius summed up his night when late in the first half he slipped an exotic ball to Johnny to score and then added his own piece of paradise with a dashing goal moments later.
