Boys r Back have fallen from grace after pulling out in season 05 and with questions over their 'Bottle' Next Best Thing for sure would ask questions.........
Next Best thing took the game to Boys R Back right from the start, they were first to everything and knocked the ball about with ease.
The Boys R Back began to get frustrated early on and there heads dropped especially when Dave broke through and scored early on in the 1st half, Next Best Thing had a few more chances too before the break but failed to find the net, in particularly an easy effort from Steve which he blazed over, something they would later regret.
Pete justified his International call up with a solid display keeping danger man Melussi at bay for most of the game, in the first half Melussi was anonymous and only had the one chance which was saved brilliantly by Wayne.
It was only 2 minutes into the 2nd half when Dave finally found the net again to give them a 2-0 lead, Next Best Thing were coasting at this point and never looked in any threat of losing the game, both Mel and Muzzi were quite until the final 2 minutes of the game.
Mel found himself free on the right hand side of the box after some good work from Muzzi and fired high into the net, all of a sudden they looked dangerous again, there quick passing returned and minutes later Mel again turned his man and hit a long effort straight past Wayne in the NBT goal, Next Best Thing began to argue as they could feel the game slipping away and with seconds remaining Melussi once again showing his class with a neat turn and nutmeg through Steve’s legs before blasting his shot in the far corner to give them an undeserved win.
Next Best Things Assistant Manager Steve couldn’t believe his team let slip a 2 goal lead with minutes remaining and thought his players deserved a lot more from the game.
Jazz reiterated the fact you can never count his team out until the final whistle has blown.
