Manager Will remains as determined as ever to keep his team in the top flight and had a full strength squad to pick from.
Shadows
'Uncle Charlie' made his first start of the season. Muzzi was still away on international duty as Mo again started on the bench.
The Shadows got off to the start they had hoped for moving the ball around in their usual 'Arsenal style' and it wasn't long before hitman Melusi found the back of the net after only 2 minutes. Ziggy Tooters clicked and there after the half was all downhill for Jazz's stars.
It didn’t take long for Ziggy to equalise with the very much in form and lethal Ellis hitting 2 goals one after another with Shadows keeper Suki wondering what had just hit him. Shadows just didn’t know how to compete with the Ziggy boy's full on pressure tactics approach. Every time influential players Melusi and Brian had the ball at their feet there was a Ziggy Tooters player right on top of him, it was inevitable then that tempers would flare up with Melusi and Will constantly exchanging verbals and evil glances but this just played into Tooters game plan an eventually Melusi retaliated in frustration an much to the dismay of the Ziggy bench as players ran on to the pitch it an Ziggy Boy Ash was banished from the game for a raised hand.
This should have been exactly what The Shadows needed but it didn’t stop the Tooters from running riot with Will scoring a 3rd just before half time. It was a much deserved lead going in at the interval.
The second half saw Ziggy Tooters continue where they left off with Will scoring his second before Melusi side footed home a beautifully crafted Shadows move and this seemed to spark them into life showing some fantastic one touch football to create chance after chance, the only problem was in front of goal, not usually a problem to the strikers of Shadows. But they found Reece in The Tooters goal a very stubborn keeper who produced some world class saves to keep them out.
Ellis restored the 3 goal advantage for the Tooters all be it against the run of play as they hit The Shadows on a typical counter attack and as Ziggy began to tire showing loose passing and clumsy tackles, one such tackle led to Brian Ndlovu scoring a fourth for Shadows with only a couple of minutes left. It was a frantic end to a game, but Ziggy held there nerves to come out on top 5-4.
They seem to be Shadows bogey team as they were the only team to beat them last season and now they’ve done it again!!, Ziggy Tooters could be the 'Bolton Wanderers' of the CLUB HEAT Friday league and will take huge confidence from this fine win
