Excellent game from both teams, after a very tight 1st half in which Charterhouse just deserved the half time lead it was in the final 30 seconds of the match when ECCC finally broke through with Rich Lee cancelling out Ian’s opener, very unlucky on the Old Boys as they perhaps just deserved the 4 points.

Next Best Thing 8 vs 4 Mozzies Army
Both teams started brightly playing some attractive football, The Mozzies caused problems going forward but just lacked that final fire power in front of goal failing to score in the first half. Danny Gay also missed a penalty for the Mozzies Army before they began a slight comeback but it was too little too late as Next Best Thing were too strong in the end. Dave was magic for them as he bagged 4 goals and the Man of the match award.

Dave Burgham grabbed 7 goals for Fifty7 FC as they completely outplayed The Business, Mark Andrews also impressed with his contribution of 5 goals as they moved upto 3rd spot after this win.

Sweden FC 7 vs 11 The Goonies
Sweden FC struggled to cope with The Goonies attacking power as the in form partnership of Chris and Tim partridge again caused problems, Tim scoring 3 and Chris hitting 4 along with Pete(2), Will and Gordon they defiantely have improved and look like a good title contender having only lost 2 early games.

The first half saw a tense and sometimes aggressive battle with Daz Cook and Andreos being sin binned for reckless challenges, Mean Machine were comfortable winners in the end over a very under strength Cyprus team with man of the match Mark hitting 3, Daz(1), Vic(3) and Adam(3) scoring the goals.

Excelsior 6 vs 7 Boys R back
What a game we had, Excelsior were fired up from the start and through the impressive Curtis Liburd powered through the Boys R back from the start scoring 2 goals and looking much the more composed team, The Boys R Back levelled the game before Ash and little Dan scored to give them a 4-3 half time lead. The second half saw The Boys R Back come at Excelsior a little more but for some excellent saves from Sucki including a fantastic double save in the dying seconds of the game Excelsior would’ve got a lot more out of this game and may feel slightly aggrieved at not winning the game.

Boys R Back dominated from beginning to end as Kobras looked completely out of there depth, they were slow and second to everything, and Melusi again was in top goal scoring form as he bagged 6 of his teams goals, they now go into the draw for the quarter finals.

An end to end game as both teams played some good attacking football, FC Your Mum found themselves 2 up early on but Wonderers pulled level towards the end of the 1st half. The second half was just as even and it was a mistake from Simon that led to the winner which was bad luck on the Wonderers behalf.
