Cunning Stunts 4 vs 9 ECCC
Inter League Cup
Cunning Stunts were unlucky in this game as they put up a battling display against in form ECCC. Rich Swaffield finds himself a marked man as he once again found himself in the sin bin for a reckless challenge. Brady was excellent throughout as ECCC got back to winning ways.
Excelsior 8 vs 5 Wonderers
Excelsior used there pace and power to full effect as they stormed into a half time lead of 4-0 as Wonderers struggled to cope with Curtis and Danny Bell, The 2nd half showed they are more than capable of matching the big teams but unfortunately they lost the game in the 1st half. Goals from Ash, Danny Bell, Lil Dan(2), Gavin and 3 from Curtis with replies from Rich(2), Kieran, Mick and Steve.
Cold Beers 12 vs 6 Cunning Stunts
Cold Beers stunned the Cunning boys with a fantastic 2nd half performance, Stefan Gajewski once again in top form just reminding the international selectors he’s still there with 6 goals along with A. Johnson, M.Luckie, T.Murrell(2) and D.Brown(2).
Sweden FC 6 vs 9 Mean Machine
In the battle of the big two it was Mean Machine that came out on top, an even 1st half saw the scores level at 4-4 but International debutant Daz Cook stole the show in the second half with 4 goals. Adam(2), Dec and Lee(2) helped out with the rest, Ash(3) had a poor game in retrospect as he found himself dismissed for 3 minutes for foul and abusive language towards the ref.
STAR OF THE WEEK
This week the award goes to The Goonies for their demolition of Cyprus UTD winning 14-6 and playing some fantastic football.
Mozzies Army 7 vs 6 Cold Beers
Inter League Cup
Cold Beers were on course for a cup upset as they held there own for most of this game against premiership opposition, they just couldn’t hold on in the end and fell at the final hurdle.
Mozzies Army 3 vs 7 Keresley Kobras
Mozzies Army were very slow out of the traps and Kobras took full advantage going 3-0 up early on, They found there feet though and took control but were very wasteful with there chances in particular Danny Gay. Kobras tactics were spot on as they sat back and hit on the counter attack with Matty in fine form and proved the difference scoring 5 along with Nick and Carl.
The Goonies 14 vs 6 Cyprus UTD
The Goonies then went on to demolish an under strength Cyprus UTD with a fantastic display of finishing leading only 5-3 at the break the 2nd half showed how dangerous Chris and Tim are in front of goal as the Goonies scored 9 in total, Chris Partridge (6), Tim Partridge (4), Marcus and Pete (3) scoring the goals with Andreos (3) and Frosty (3) replying.
Another week and another round up of the CLUB HEAT Friday Leagues
Excelsior 5 vs 1 Next Best Thing
A good competitive game with both teams playing a physical but fair game, Next Best Thing just lack that confidence at the minute and it showed as they gave away two easy goals in the 1st half, Danny Bell, James, Lil Dan and Curtis(2) scored the goals.
The Goonies 7 vs 8 Fifty7 FC
Fifty7 FC jumped to 3rd in the league with a good solid performance which was marred by an incident early in the 2nd half. Fifty7 had Mark(4), Gary(2) and Brett(2) to thank for there win with the in form Chris (5) and Tim Partridge(2) bagging the Goonies goals.
Boys R Back 8 vs 5 Millers Appeal
Boys R Back remain unbeaten aloft the Premier League with an emphatic win over fellow high fliers Millers Appeal, once again the partnership of Quinny and Amraj looked good but they didn’t quite have enough as they slipped to a 5-1 half time score line. Boys R Back were too fast and showed too much quality for the Millers as they dominated most of the game
Boys R Back 3 vs 5 Something Else
Inter League Cup
An excellent game from start to finish. Something Else stamped their authority from the kick off as Dave Jones once again proved why he so highly regarded in the leagues snuffing out The Boys R Backs attacks every time, Thommo, Steve Reece (2) and Dave Jones scoring in the first half to give them a comfortable 4-1 lead at the break, a minor comeback in the 2nd half from Boys R Back but they looked second best in the end as Something Else dished out a first Loss of the season for Jazz’s’ team.
