Millers Appeal 7 vs 4 Next Best Thing

After there earlier cup win NBT seemed to take this game in the manner it was intended, as a friendly and never really threatened. Millers however will be excited by the prospect of there new look team with new signing Lil Dan Doherty having a fine game and scoring 4 goals in his first outing. If they can keep hold of Mark Quinn for another season then they will be genuine title contenders come the winter season. Quinny bagged a brace and Amraj rounded things off.
Millers Appeal 4 v 6 4Covs & A Scot
EOS Cup

4Covs kept up there incredible start to life in the 5star leagues with another good win. The experience of Millers Appeal looked to be the difference in the first half as they dominated proceedings leading 3-1 and looking comfortable but a turn around in the 2nd half saw 4Covs produce some excellent football, New boy Jordan impressing in his first outing against Premiership opposition.
Next Best thing 5 vs 3 Sweden FC
EOS Cup

Next Best Thing booked there place in the End Of Season Cup Semi finals against either Mean Machine, K.Kobras or RSVP with a convincing win. They were the better team in the first half taking a
2-0 lead in at the break and with the in form Ashley reproducing last weeks fine display with a man of the match performance, they never really looked like giving the game away.
Another week and another round up of the CLUB HEAT Friday Leagues

Allstars 3 v 9 Something Else
Champions League

Something Else produced the kind of performance we saw from them last season and in the first half of this season as they regained some pride following some woeful recent displays. Thommo in particular finding his goal scoring boots banging in 5 goals with 2 from Johnny B and 2 from Steve Reece.
Both teams set the standards with some excellent fast flowing attacking football in an end to end half and it was S.Else that drew first after an uncharacteristic mistake from Arfan allowing the ball to slip through his legs as Something Else took a narrow 3-2 lead in at the break. They dominated thereafter though as Danny Thompson took control of the game. Allstars were gutted at the final whistle as they were sure the cup was going to be there’s.
City Rejects 4 v 5 Never Enough
Inter League Cup Final

Never Enough took this final by the scruff of the neck as they stomped into a deserved 3-1 half time lead as they looked to put the game beyond doubt in the first half. City Rejects had other ideas though and produced a fantastic 2nd half in an end to end game as they looked to pull the game back. If not for some outstanding saves from Matty G City Rejects would’ve been crowned cup winners but as it stands he kept his team in it as he has done on more than one occasion and Never Enough snatched it at the final moment with a well earned win in a game that either team could’ve won. Both teams were frustrating at time making many individual errors, but the fast pace of the game was a key factor.
Sunshine 4 v 13 Inter Girls

Inter Girls gave Sunshine a master class in finishing in this one sided game as they dominated from start to finish. A boast before the game from Sunshine’s Dan Lucas that he would keep out the lethal Lee Konrath was blown out the window as he hit 7 of his teams’ goals, including a sublime chip that had the balcony clapping. Nick Frost also had a hand in the goals scoring 4 and John scored the remaining 2 goals to set up an exciting semi final against 4Covs and A Scot.
Mean Machine 7 vs 3 K.Kobras

Mean Machine proved their credentials for season 6 in the top flight with a comfortable win over there premiership rivals. Leading 6-2 at the break the second half was a formality really.
Celtic 5 v 9 FC Your Mum

Celtic looked like upsetting the odds as they matched FC your Mum for the first half going in level at 3-3, but FC Your Mum found another 2 gears as they upped there levels in the 2nd half and finished off there opponents with 6 goals.
Zion Knights 24 v 2 Dizzy Tooters

Not sure what to say about Dizzies tonight as they succumbed to a thrashing. They just couldn’t handle the pace and fluency of Zion Knights. Dee in particular was a threat scoring 16 goals. Dizzies couldn’t really blame a weak team as they fielded Jim, Gavin, Jake and Pasquale as they just failed to show any fight. Hopefully next season will see the re-emergence of the old Dizzies we know.
