Fifty7 FC 4 v 11 Sweden FC
Fifty7 seemed somewhat deflated after there previous loss and Sweden showed no mercy with a dominating first half showing, Danny Bell and Ash McBride in particular the danger men. Sweden finished the job with ease in the 2nd half and 4 goals from Danny Bell 4 for Lil Adam and another 2 for Ash sealed the win. Its now out of Sweden’s hands wether they will gain promotion, all they can do is win there final game of the season and hope The Goonies slip up somewhere along the line.
ECCC 0 v 6 Boys R Back
ECCC all but ended there hopes of the league title. The score line somewhat flattered The Boys R back as ECCC more than matched there opponents in a close first half but just couldn’t convert there chances and The Boys R back did. The Boys R Back showed there flair and skill in the second half to put ECCC to the sword with Lil Muzzy in superb form.
K.Kobras 4 vs 3 RSVP
Kobras leapt to third spot after this win in what was a close encounter, both teams evenly matched and it came down to a last minute goal from Matty to separate them. Nick, Rich and Matty(2) scoring the goals with Replies from Lee Frosty and Andy.
STAR OF THE WEEK
This week the award goes to Inter Girls for their Reds cup semi final win against favourites Drogs Ballacks. A second successive final appearance for Inter Girls.
Fifty7 FC 1 vs 3 Mean Machine
A must win game for both teams, failure to win for Fifty7 meant they couldn’t win the league and a win for Mean Machine wins them promotion and almost certainly guarantees them the league title. A typical title battle as both teams showing good football at a fast pace but it was Mean machine that set the tempo with two cracking first half goals which gave 57 an uphill battle in the 2nd half. They stepped up to the challenge but found defender Matt and goalkeeper Ant in fine form and in the end Mean Machine fully deserved there win and no doubt the celebrations would’ve gone on into the night as they look forward to Premiership football next season.
Another week and another round up of the CLUB HEAT Friday Leagues
Mozzies Army 3 vs 11 Excelsior
A decent but sometimes fiery encounter in which Mozzies more than matched there opponents in the first half and were unlucky to find themselves 2-1 down but a fantastic second half performance from Lil Dan was the key as he scored 6 goals with some excellent goals, Danny Bell contributed 3 and Ash scored 2 as they outplayed the Mozzies.
Drogs Ballacks 4 vs 14 The Goonies
The Goonies need to win all their remaining fixtures with comfortable goal differences to clinch the first division title and went one step closer with an unstoppable display against a somewhat deflated Drogs. Everything they hit seamed to go in with Gordon Kenny the star man up front hitting 5 goals along with new signing Charlie(5), Pete(3) and Marcos. The score line could have been higher had they tucked away a penalty.
The Goonies 2 vs 9 Fifty7 FC
Reds Cup
The Goonies were at there bare minimum due to Injuries and “other Commitments” and it showed as they never really got going during this cup game and it now seems as though they wont qualify, “we will just concentrate on the league now” said Manager Pete Radburn. Not taking anything away from Fifty7 though as they produced some fantastic football and Brett in particular took his goals superbly. Fifty7 are now guaranteed to qualify but top or second placed we still don’t know.
Millers Appeal (4) 1 vs 7 (13)Excelsior
league Cup
After leading 6-3 from the first leg Millers Appeal had it all to do, but you could excuse them for not having much confidence as they struggled in the first half going 5-0 down to all but end the tie, the second half wasn’t much to shout about as both teams knew the final outcome already as once again Danny bell the in form striker scoring 4 with Lil Dan hitting 3.

Something Else 4 vs 5 K.Kobras
In a controversial game it was Keresley Kobras that caused the biggest upset of the night but few could argue they deserved the win. S.Else manager Andy Watts was furious after the game feeling his side were denied 3 penalty claims, one was “clear cut” and it could have a big effect on the outcome of the league.
On a positive note however Kobras had star man Matty to thank for some lethal finishing as he scored 3 magnificent goals and along with a goal apiece from Nick and Luke Kobras once again upset the odds against one of the big 4 on the small pitch.
Wonderers 2 vs 10 Next Best Thing
Next Best Thing were on top form as they cruised to a comfortable win after leading 4-0 at the break, goalkeeper Wayne was heading for the clean sheet club, but for 2 silly goals he would have done. The win was more important though and they managed it quite easily in the end. Goals from Steve, Dave(3), Pete and Ash(5).
