ECCC 6 vs 4 Wonderers

ECCC had the game virtually won in the first half as they stormed into a 6-1 lead, the advantage looked to have won it but Wonderers came back strongly in the 2nd half as ECCC failed to find the net, unfortunately they couldn’t quite make it and just missed out in a thrilling 2nd half performance.
Something Else 9 vs 3 Wonderers

In a very open 1st half Something Else found themselves fortunate to go in at the break in the lead, Wonderers found themselves 3-2 up with 2 minutes remaining of the half and looked very much in the game, but some sloppy defending gifted S.Else 2 goals as they went 5-3 up. A superb second half showing from the ever impressive Dave Jones was the force behind every attack and goals from Steve Reece(2), Danny Thompson(2), Dave Jones(3) and Andy Watts JR(2) gave them a deserved win to keep the pressure on the top.
Cold Beers 4 vs 5 Inter Girls

Inter Girls are finding form but it could be a little to late for them now. A good win over a battling Cold Beers was enough to see them jump to 4th place in the table. Nick Frost in fine form scoring 3 along with two from Steve Bolas, one of them a cracker. Adam, Mike and Stefan(2) scored the Cold Beers goals.

STAR OF THE WEEK
Sunday team The Players for inflicting Something Else's first defeat of season 06.

K.Kobras 3 vs 2 Millers Appeal

A poor showing from both teams especially in a dour first half with neither team creating much. Kobras took a deserved 2-0 lead at the break but a Quinny goal and a mistake from Nick to allow Ian Davies an equaliser set up some entertainment for the final minutes but a Matty brace was enough to secure the points.
Another week and another round up of the CLUB HEAT Friday Leagues
Something Else 3 v 6 Playerz
(Champions League)

Something Else succumbed to their first loss of the season against a resilient Playerz. A fantastic game started at a fast pace and never really dropped. A close first half saw nothing in it with both teams playing attacking football, Playerz just edged it with a 4-3 advantage, and then took control in the 2nd half with Jekko in fine form in goal and Muzzo pulling the strings in the middle.
Drogs Ballacks 4 vs 5 SwedenFC

Sweden Fc found themselves 2-0 down at the break and Drogs fully deserved there lead. Karl Asaba scoring a wonder goal volleying into the top corner, but they struggled to keep up the pressure and Sweden FC stepped up a gear in the second half with guest player Danny Bell more than equalling Karls goal with an almost identical strike and nearly hit a 2nd but crashed his shot onto the crossbar. One of the most entertaining games I have seen from this division as both teams were desperate for the win, it was the fire power of Sweden Fc that won it in the end though as Drogs looked a little jaded towards the end.
The Goonies 2 vs 9 Fifty7 FC
Reds Cup

The Goonies were at there bare minimum due to Injuries and “other Commitments” and it showed as they never really got going during this cup game and it now seems as though they wont qualify, “we will just concentrate on the league now” said Manager Pete Radburn. Not taking anything away from Fifty7 though as they produced some fantastic football and Brett in particular took his goals superbly. Fifty7 are now guaranteed to qualify but top or second placed we still don’t know.
FC Butterbean 8 v 5 Sunshine
(Inter League Cup)

Sunshine will feel a little disappointed as they were good value for money in this tight encounter, the final scoreline didn’t do them justice as they created more than enough chances to secure a draw but for some cracking saves from goalkeeper Dave, a good learning curve for the young lads though.
Drogs Ballacks 6 vs 1 The Business

The Business fielded a make shift team as once again some of there players let there team down and it showed as Drogs Ballacks outplayed them in the second half to remain in 3rd spot, 5points of Sweden and with a game in hand. Manager Keith will be optimistic his team can still gain promotion with their recent displays.
Cold Beers 4 vs 15 Sweden FC

The scoreline says it all in this one, Sweden were ruthless from the start in particular Gavin again as he seemed to score everything he hit. All the players contributed the goals Adam McBride(2), Gavin(5), Ash(4), Dan(3) and Adam L all scoring. Mean Machine find them hot on there tales as the season begins to draw to a close.
Celtic 3 vs 4 Inter Girls

Inter Girls secured a 3rd win in a row but didn’t have it there own way. Celtic played there part in a thrilling game and were desperately unlucky not to come out with more than just a point, James in particular scoring a hat trick but goals from Ian, Raff and Nick(2) were enough for the win.
Sunshine 1 v 4 Mean Machine

Mean Machine have nearly all but booked there place in the Premier Division next season with an easy 4-1 win over Sunshine, Lee, Vic, Dec and Daz all scoring over a distinctly lacklustre Sunshine who seemed to have resigned themselves to finishing bottom on this showing.
Boys r Back 7 vs 6 RSVP

The ever disrespecting Boys r Back again made themselves no friends as they turned up 15 mins late a were rightly 4 goals down from the start. RSVP'S started the game well and still found themselves 5 -3 up at half time. The second half saw Boys r Back take control and slowly they clawed back into the game and a controversial penalty given against hall of famer Raff for entering the box saw Muzzy step up to equalise but it was the man who we love to hate who sealed the vital 4pts as Jazz slivered in to shin home the winner and kept his team on top of the Premiership division.
