Drogs Ballacks 10 vs 1 Cold Beers
Reds Cup
Cold Beers miserable night continued as Drogs Ballacks trounced them too keep up there hopes of a semi final spot, the goal difference was essential for finishing top and avoiding Mean Machine in the semis and the ever impressive Karl Asaba helped out scoring 5 and picking up the man of the match award.
.
Cold Beers 2 vs 10 Sunshine
Two wins on the bounce for Sunshine and this time a league win, there first one sees them climb off the bottom but with the uncertainty surrounding Cyprus UTD they might find themselves back there soon. Danny, Kieran (4), Lewis (4) and Alex all got on the score sheet as they had the game won at half time leading 7-2. Cold Beers are finding it hard to get a result from anywhere at the moment but with the players they have i am sure it wont be for too long.
Something Else 7 vs 3 K.Kobras
Something Else remains on course for the semi finals leading there group, only they can throw it away at the moment.
K.Kobras did though lead 1-0 and after a war cry of “These are S**t!” from Manager Ollie Something Else stepped up and dominated much of the game in particular Danny Thompson who scored 3 and set up 3. Maybe Ollie will not be so haste in future
STAR OF THE WEEK
This week the award goes to Excelsior for their win against Boys R back. No one can deny they are one of the best teams when they are on form we have.
Celtic 2 vs 6 Mean Machine
We nearly had an upset on the cards in this game as Celtic looked the better team in the first half and went in 2-0 to the good but once again Dec showed his finishing skills and bagged a second half hat trick with Lee, Vic and man of the match Daz leading the comeback charge and keeping them on top, if they win all there remaining games including against The Goonies in the final game of the season then the league is there's and on recent showings we cant expect anything less, an unbeaten end to the Goonies season however will see them go level on points with there rivals. Mean Machine have a comfortable 30 goal advantage however.
Another week and another round up of the CLUB HEAT Friday Leagues
The Goonies 3 vs 5 Sweden FC
Reds Cup
Sweden FC ended any slim hopes the Goonies had of qualifying for the semi finals with this win. They made hard work of it though leading by just the one goal at half time but the finishing of Gav and Adam L once again showed why they’re always a threat going forward. And with the solid Gavin Lee at the back they look a lot sturdier now. The Goonies will feel a little hard done by with guest player Steve Reece filling in for the much missed Chris Partridge they had there chances to win but now Sweden FC will nervously wait for the final game of the group between Drogs Ballacks and The Goonies, If Drogs can win it then they will finish above Sweden and Fifty 7 a draw or a Goonies win will see Sweden go through as runners up.
Something Else 7 vs 0 Next Best Thing
League Cup
A second successive clean sheet for in form goalkeeper Matty G but this clean sheet was all down to the ever unflappable Dave Jones who was solid throughout and never lost a challenge as he keeps up his challenge for player of the season. Next Best Thing, missing a few key players through injuries never looked like causing too many problems and just seemed to keel over in the 2nd half.
The Goonies 2 vs 9 Fifty7 FC
Reds Cup
The Goonies were at there bare minimum due to Injuries and “other Commitments” and it showed as they never really got going during this cup game and it now seems as though they wont qualify, “we will just concentrate on the league now” said Manager Pete Radburn. Not taking anything away from Fifty7 though as they produced some fantastic football and Brett in particular took his goals superbly. Fifty7 are now guaranteed to qualify but top or second placed we still don’t know.
Inter Girls 8 vs 7 The Business
Inter Girls almost threw away a 6-2 lead as the Business piled on the pressure in the second half, Gough in outstanding goalscoring form hitting 4 2nd half goals. They did manage to hold on though to remain in the top 4. Jonathan (4) and Lee Konrath (4) scoring the goals for Inter Girls. Jase and a Jon hat trick narrowly missing out for The Business.

Excelsior 4 vs 2 Boys R Back
Club Heat Cup
With so much interest in this match it was understandable that the balcony was full of spectators with players coming up to an hour early just to witness this epic battle. Excelsior showed they were up for it and shot out of the blocks scoring first through the ever explosive Curtis Liburd as he caused problems before laying off for Danny bell to score. They kept up there onslaught of the Boys R back goal and they had Sucki to thank for keeping the score down. Melussi equalised for Boys R back but not long after Danny Bell undid the defence before scoring his second with a placed finish. Once again the big battle was between Kim Green and Curtis and Curtis just edged it in the first half. The half time score of 2-2 was a fair reflection of the half and it looked like it was going to come down to who wanted it more. The 2nd half showed just what the people had come to watch and had a little of everything, neither set of players pulled there punches, almost literally as tackles flew in left right and centre but we wouldn’t expect anything less from these two teams and it wouldn’t be the same without it. Ian Iceman Clelland could perhaps have been the key man in the second half as he failed to concede and made some vital saves to deny Kim and Mel. Kim found his feet and managed to keep out Curtis in the 2nd half but as we all know the two Danny’s are more than capable of winning games as they proved again today both scoring a brace to claim top spot in their group.
Something Else 8 vs 0 RSVP
Something Else didn’t quite start with the same conviction as their previous game but still somehow found themselves 2-0 up at the break, lee Konrath missed a couple of sitters as RSVP should’ve been level. The second Half saw S.Else cruise through in 1st gear and never really looked like losing the tie, perhaps 8-0 was a little harsh on RSVP but they lacked that finishing touch in front of goal. Matty gee was in inspiring form as he pulled of two world class saves and claims the man of the match award
Millers Appeal 5 vs 4 Mozzies Army
The first time these two have met this season and they produced a good game of football, Aggy having a storming first half scoring two excellent goals and with another from Amraj they took a slender 3-2 lead at half time, the second half was just as close, one goal in particular stood out as Jake hit a fabulous equaliser to make it 3-3 but goals from Quinny and Amraj were enough to just see off Mozzies in a close encounter.
ECCC 10 vs 5 Dizzy Tooters
Club Heat Cup
ECCC jumped to joint 2nd with Boys R back with this comfortable win over struggling Dizzy Tooters, they didn’t have it all their own way though as Dizzies jumped into a 2-0 lead but once ECCC got into the swing of it and took control there was only really going to be one winner. Brady was the star man in this performance.
ECCC 8 vs 2 Millers Appeal
The game got off to a bright start with both teams exchanging chances and both keepers being tested, ECCC however took control mid way through the half and took a deserved 3-0 lead into the break. Millers found it difficult against ECCC’s excellent one touch passing in particular Roy who at times was a joy to watch. With some of the football on show it’s hard to see why ECCC find themselves 10 points of the leaders.
FC Your Mum 6 vs 0 RSVP
Cliff entered the much sought after clean sheet club with a fine display between the sticks, he was overshadowed though by the return to form of Big Will who scored 5 of his team’s goals to keep him up there with the top goalscorers. Man of the Match John scored the other as RSVP failed to score for there second consecutive match.
