ECCC 2 vs 2 Next Best Thing

Next Best Thing made a huge dent in the attempt of ECCC to win the league with this excellent performance, going in 2-0 up at half time they managed to hold onto the lead right up until the final 4 minutes when some sloppy defending gave ECCC 2 break away chances and they scored them both, NBT will feel slightly hard done by as they controlled a lot of the game but their finishing in the 2nd half was what undone them. James and Ash both getting the goals.
FC Your Mum 8 vs 5 Dizzy Tooters

Dizzy Tooters in form striker Gav was on fire in the first half scoring a fantastic hat trick, FC Your Mum found him hard to handle and Dizzy’s fully deserved the 3-2 lead at the end of the half.
A costly mistake at the beginning of the 2nd half from GK Jim handed FC Your Mum a 3rd goal and the impatience to push forward and claim a deserved win in the end. Dizzies once again short on fire power. Cliff, Chris (4), Will (2) and John scoring for FC Your Mum
Cold Beers 2 vs 9 Mean Machine

Mean Machine continue to keep the pressure on league leaders Sweden FC with another impressive win, Adam, Dec, Vic Daz(3), and Lee(2) grabbing the goals in this one sided game. Cold Beers looked a little off form with Craig and Stef scoring in each half.

ECCC 9 vs 6 K.Kobras

ECCC had the game wrapped up at half time as they found themselves 3-0 up early on and went in 7-3 ahead. Kobras lacked fire power up front and were denied by some excellent goalkeeper by the returning Rich Swaffield (Why did he decide to come outfield?). Rich Lee was again inspiring going forward and bagged himself a nice hat trick with goals also coming from Scott(2) Leigh, Brady(2) and Jason.
Another week and another round up of the CLUB HEAT Friday Leagues
Boys R Back 7 vs 2 FC Your Mum

FC Your Mum perhaps a little tired from their previous game were just a little too slow for the impressive Boys R Back looking to extend their lead at the top of the table, once again Melusi stole the show with a hat trick with goals from Kim and Gino. In reality the score could’ve been a lot higher had it not been for the exploits of Goalkeeper Dave as he made a string of fine saves. Will scored 2 penalties for FC Your Mum.
Celtic 2 vs 10 Inter Girls

A fantastic 2nd half performance sealed a resounding win for Inter Girls. Lee Konrath once again proving what a hit he is in front of goal bagging another 6 goals to keep him way out in front of the goalscoring charts, Jonathan also did his part scoring 4. Celtic looked slow from the start and will need to improve keeping the ball.
Something Else 4 vs 3 Boys R Back

Something Else took one step closer to retaining the league title, Boys R back are their closest rivals in what was expected to be a close and high tempo game, and it didn’t disappoint. Something Else got off to the better start as they stormed into a 2-0 lead with goals from Kev Reece and Thommo. They continued to push forward but Sucki pulled off some cracking saves to deny Thommo and Dave Jones before it was Matty G’s turn to foil Gino and Melusi.
Steve Reece then saw yellow for a reckless challenge on Melussi as he was clean through and whilst he spent the next 3 minutes in the sin bin The Boys R Back fully capitalised and pulled level with 2 excellent goals from Mel. The score remained 2-2 until half way through the 2nd half when Dave Jones crashed in a shot that Sucki could do nothing about. The lead didn’t last long however as Gino found himself in acres of space and nonchalantly placed the ball past Matty G. Steve Reece then went from villain to hero as he sprant away from Chucksee in the dying minutes to score the winner in a well deserved win in a fantastic encounter, all credit to both teams and we look forward to the return fixture.
Mozzies Army 5 vs 3 RSVP

A Tight first half saw Mozzies with a slight advantage as Pat and Jake sandwiched goal from Lee Konrath but a dominating 2nd half saw the Mozzies Army come through with relative ease in the end, some nice attacking football  from Pat and Danny Gay in particular saw them create chance after chance. Pat (2), Luke (2) and Craig securing the win with a hat trick from Lee Konrath for RSVP
The Goonies 8 vs 6 The Business

Again Tim Partridge was on top goalscoring form as he ran this game scoring 4 goals and picking up the man of the match award, The Business were unlucky not to get a little more out of this game as thay produced some good football and had their fair amount of chances but lacked poise in front of goal. Gough (3) and Jon(3) scored for the Business
The Goonies 9 vs 7Cold Beers
Reds Cup

The Goonies kept up there recent good form with a good 9-7 win. Leading 7-2 at the break it seemed The Goonies would comfortably win, but a good comeback from Cold Beers set up a tense finale to the match, Tim Partridge(6) Pete Radburn(2) and Ryan scoring the goals.
Something Else 8 vs 0 RSVP

Something Else didn’t quite start with the same conviction as their previous game but still somehow found themselves 2-0 up at the break, lee Konrath missed a couple of sitters as RSVP should’ve been level. The second Half saw S.Else cruise through in 1st gear and never really looked like losing the tie, perhaps 8-0 was a little harsh on RSVP but they lacked that finishing touch in front of goal. Matty gee was in inspiring form as he pulled of two world class saves and claims the man of the match award

Celtic 2 vs 3 Sunshine
Reds Cup

Sunshine finally recorded their first win of the season albeit in the cup which they cannot progress in, they have looked a lot better in recent weeks and hopefully they can take this good form into the league and start to climb off the bottom. The game remained 2-2 right until the last couple of minutes and it was the persistence of Sunshine that paid off in the end.
Inter Girls 3 vs 7 Mean Machine

Inter Girls matched Mean machine for the whole of the 1st half and perhaps shouldve gone in leading at the break, goalkeeper Anthony though was in top form a made a number of crucial stops to keep his team in it. Lee Konrath scored a superb 1st half hat trick but then Inter Girls failed to hit the target in the 2nd half which opened the doors for Mean Machine to take control and eventually win in comfortable fashion, Dec Vic(3), Daz(2) and Lee bagging the goals
Sunshine 3 vs 7 Drogs Ballacks

Sunshine folded in a poor first half showing as they found themselves 6-1 down. They then had it all to do in the 2nd period and after scoring the first two goals ran out of steam, Drogs didn’t do much better as they only found the net once more but it was enough to see off a dogged effort from the Sunshine boys who will be disappointed after their earlier win in the night. Alex scored all 3 for Sunshine and Keith (2), Pete (2), Mark (2) and Jim hitting the goals for Drogs Ballacks.
