RSVP 2 vs 5 Next Best Thing

Next Best Thing jumped to second spot in the Premier League with this win albeit having played 5 games more than 3rd place Something Else.
An excellent 1st half saw neither team dominate with a 2-2 scoreline. RSVP looked the better though going forward especially Joe Barr. The second Half though saw NBT take control and in reality the final score should have been higher had it not been for some outstanding goalkeeping from stand in goalkeeper Cliff. Ash(2), Daz, Beckett and Pete alls coring for NBT with Nick and James replying.
Excelsior 6 vs 3 Millers Appeal
League Cup ¼ Final 1st Leg
Excelsior avenged there earlier loss in the league with a well fought win. After going 2-0 down early on it looked like the Millers were about to cause another upset but it was that man again Curtis Liburd that pulled Excelsior back up with his ever enthusiasm and constant running that the Millers just couldn’t handle as they eventually went in at the break 5-2 up. The second half wasn’t as entertaining but Excelsior did what they had to and fully deserved the lead going into the second leg.
Cold Beers 2 vs 9 Mean Machine

Mean Machine continue to keep the pressure on league leaders Sweden FC with another impressive win, Adam, Dec, Vic Daz(3), and Lee(2) grabbing the goals in this one sided game. Cold Beers looked a little off form with Craig and Stef scoring in each half.

Wonderers 4 vs 8 K.Kobras
League Cup ¼ Final 1st Leg

Keresley Kobras took the advantage early on going 3-0 up inside the first 5 minutes. The shock kick started the Wonderers with new signing Mohammed “Henry” up front as they put together some nice play, passing the ball around confidently and managed to bring the scores to 4-2 but a late 1st half goal from Matty gave the Kobras a nice 5-2 lead going in at the break. The second Half was all uphill for The Wonderers and they found it tough. Carl Pickup scored two excellent goals to keep up his impressive goal scoring run.
Another week and another round up of the CLUB HEAT Friday Leagues
Boys R Back 6 vs 4 Millers Appeal
Club Heat Cup

The Millers once again started well but the Boys R Back showed there exceptional quality on the ball to give them the first half advantage. Millers Appeal showed a lot of fight in the second half and perhaps deserved a draw as they pegged Boys R back into their own half for most of the half, they maybe could’ve come away with a point had Amraj not missed in the last minute with the score at 5-4 to The Boys R Back.
Celtic 6 vs 12 The Goonies

The Goonies put their earlier defeat behind them and looked comfortable in this game, a few uneasy moments in the first half but a top notch display in the 2nd gave them a deserved win the ever impressive Chris (5), Tim (3), Gordon (2) and Pete (2) grabbing the goals with a man of the match performance from Celtic's James as he hit 6 goals.
Something Else 10 vs 5 Mozzies Army

Something Else looked like winning this game from the outset, Mozzies failed to stamp any kind of authority and never really looked like causing an upset. The highlight of the game was a scorcher of a goal from Andy Watts as he hit it from inside his own half, a goal of the season contender for sure. Danny Thompson continued his return to fitness with an impressive display scoring a hat trick along with goals from Steve Reece(4) and Kev Reece(2)
Something Else 5 vs 5 FC Your Mum

What a game of football we had, FC Your Mum were outstanding in the first half matching Something Else to everything. S.Else looked a bit match rusty having missed the last 2 weeks but take nothing from FC Your Mum, they defiantly wanted it. Will was in fantastic form as were all the boys and they deserved the lead at the break but only for some good saves from Matty G that kept the score at 3-3. The second half was just as emphatic with both teams looking to stretch the lead and both failing, it was end to end stuff and was a pleasure to watch at times. The final score was just deserved for both teams. Will (3), Liam and Chris scored the FC Your Mum goals and Danny Thompson returned with 2 and Steve Reece bagged a hat trick.
Celtic 5 vs 4 Sunshine

In the battle of the basement boys it was Sunshine that went into the game favourites after some impressive displays of late but it was Celtic that stepped up to the plate and outshone the Sunshine. Phil, Bob, Paddy and James (2) securing the damage in the 1st half Jordon couldn’t inspire his team to level even though he managed 4 goals himself.
Inter Girls 6 vs 2 Sweden FC

A shock defeat for Sweden now puts there title hopes on hold, and through NO fault of the referee. A poor first half showing from both key men Ash and Gav saw Inter Girls take a 4-1 lead and gave Sweden everything to do in the 2nd half a feat they couldn’t manage as they only managed to score one goal in either half, if they wish to win this league they will need to improve especially against the lower placed teams, all credit to Inter Girls though, they performed above themselves and must be happy with the result. Nick Frost bagged 4 goals along with Andy and another belter from Steve Bolas, and a man of the match award for him too.
Cold Beers 2 vs 6 Drogs Ballacks

Cold Beers completed a night they’d rather forget with another lacklustre performance against 4th placed Drogs Ballacks. Drogs have had to undergo a major refurb of late with key players missing but they looked good value for money in this well fought win goals from Tom (2), Pete, Jim and Martin (2) were enough to see off their opponents.
