TEN LEFT FEET

TEN LEFT FEET

MOTLEY BARNETS

MOTLEY BARNETS

The battle lines were drawn and the two teams currently flying high in the Championship met in the Battle for domination.

It took all of 20 seconds to realise where this game was heading as Ten Left Feet’s star man Dan lashed in from just inside the Barnets half. The game then settled down and Barnets started to attack and after some good work by Luke Dalton Lee Hart made it 1-1 and then 2-1 to Barnets with an excellent finish.
The tables then swung T.L.F way as Ryan again exposed Barnets down the middle hitting a ferocious shot past the helpless Nick Frost and now sooner had the keeper scooped the ball out the back of the net he was doing it again as Dan made it 3-2 to Ten Left Feet.
The two exchanged possession and Jordan pulled a great save from T.L.F Shaun but the stopper couldn’t halt Lee making it 3 all.
The game was turning out to be an end to end battle as the two sides gave it all for domination and one team had to falter and that was Nick Frost and the Barnets, a poor throw out by Frost gifted Ryan his second and Ten Left Feet’s 4th. Barnets threw everything at T.L.F Lee and Jordan both causing Shaun to show his quality as the keeper stopped everything the two laid on him, Barnets were counter attacked as John Brolly set Dan on his way and he blasted home to make it 5-3 right on the half time whistle.

Motley Barnets were deep in a intense half time team talk led by manager James McDade as Ten Left Feet took to the pitch.
It seemed as though James had found the magic words as Barnet’s started well and looked nice and composed as they tried to construct some meaningful attacks and again Lee and Jordan were at the head of the attack both going close, James McDade also went close but saw his effort parried by Shaun and the rebound fell to Lee who could only watch as Shaun tipped his effort around the post.
As many football matches when a team is chasing the lead they are vulnerable on the counter attack and John Brolly breezed past Ollie Dalton to put the tie at 6-3.
Barnets had one last throw of the dice but big Johnny Wilkinson ballooned over when it was easier to score Ten Left Feet and Dan then made it 7, John Brolly 8-3 and the game was over as Ten Left Feet sealed a cracking 9-6 victory and the Battle for Domination.
