THE SEAGULL LEGACY
When these two 5Star World giants clash you know you are about to watch a thriller.
With such talent on show and the stakes high who left with their PRIDE intact?

Merchants were without key defender Kim Green who was rested after playing earlier in the day and Rejects set out the blocks fast knowing they could get at Merchants and they did just that.
Danny ‘Hitman’ Thompson who currently is red hot put Rejects into a quick fire two goal lead after some sloppy play by Merchants Brian Ndlovu but as Danny’s Friday team G14 they were stuck in the position of stick or twist and interim manager Mark Quinn decided to stick and just as G14 his decision was fatal he withdrew Danny and went defensive but this played into the hands of Merchants and after some slick passing Merchants were 3-2 up thanks to goals from lil Muzzy, Muzzy and Meluci.
Merchants then controlled what was left of the first half and went in the much more relieved at half time.

The second half opened with a passing show by the Merchants who moved the ball for over two minutes before a Reject player could touch it but it may look pretty and nice to watch the reality is you need an end product and that was proven as Danny Thompson robbed Brian to break away and pull the tie level with a superb finish into the top corner. The momentum swung back to Rejects who injected some pace into their game and a pass from Scott Hennell found Gaz who neatly finished much to the delight of the on looking spectators. Merchants were floundering as Rejects defensive rock Gavin Lee
(HOF) and keeper Ian Clelland thwarted them and Iceman made a crucial save from a point blank lil Muzzy effort again the crowd roaring in delight.
Merchants kept pressing and a woeful first touch by Mark Quinn allowed Muzzy to steal the ball and feed his younger brother who danced round the back of Gav and nestled his shot into the bottom corner, 4-4!!

The game was there for the taking and again man of the match Danny Thompson put Rejects in the driving seat with another well taken goal and that looked to have settled the tie, but write Merchants off at your peril and they soon equalised thanks to Muzzy who found the back the net after some good individual skill.
That brought full time and the end to a game of true PPV quality.
